Gratitude for taking the time today.
Allow yourself to find a comfortable position.
A place where the body is not disturbing the mind.
If it's available to you,
To close your eyes,
Close your eyes.
If you have to leave your eyes open,
Then let them go half closed.
The awareness that we're tapping into is from the inside.
So start to notice the texture of your breath.
Notice the tone of your own inner thoughts.
And allow yourself the opportunity to listen to what your body has been telling you.
Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.
And just get a sense of the system that has been supporting you all day long.
You can feel the beating of your heart into your hands.
You can feel the rise and fall of your abdomen with your breath.
You have a really intelligent,
Strong support system that's with you every single moment of your life.
Noticing the texture of your breath,
Take an inhale,
Allow it to be felt into your palms.
Take an exhale and allow the breath to rinse out through the body,
Releasing any excess tension.
We'll do it again.
Take an inhale,
Fill it up to the crown of your head.
And as you exhale,
Relax your forehead,
Relax your eyeballs,
Relax your jaw,
Relax your throat,
Relax your collarbones.
Take another inhale,
See where it feels you go to its highest point.
And then relax again,
The forehead,
The jaw,
The collarbones,
The armpits,
The chest.
Inhale,
Imagine it's filling up from your hips all the way up.
Take an exhale,
Soften it down through the hips,
Out through the feet,
Through the earth.
Imagine anything you no longer need is being let go and that energy is going to be reused and put in a position to be of benefit for you.
Keep the face relaxed,
Bring the hands down by the lap.
And give yourself the freedom to let go.
Let go of the need to breathe,
Trust that the breath is breathing itself.
Let go of the need to hold on,
Trust that everything is flowing as it should flow.
If you can notice an inner voice speaking to you,
Then that means there's a part of you that's not that inner voice.
For this time,
For this meditation,
For this space that we'll hold together,
Allow yourself as often as you're able to,
To notice the functioning,
Intelligent support system that is your earthly body and also your earthly mind.
Allow the mind to continue to pick up the information that the body is giving it,
The movement of your breath,
The beating of your heart,
Your day to day activities.
And also allow a release,
A detachment of sorts from this being your only exclusive reality.
You are as much of the body and the mind and your activities as you are the ether,
The space,
The space between each individual thought,
The space between each individual breath.
Take an intentional inhale here,
A big full breath in,
Choosing to let things go where they need to go,
Holding it at the top,
And then exhale to release control.
Welcome to our meditation album.
We've already started,
But let's begin.
Exhale to release control.
Exhale to release control.
Exhale to release control.
What's up everybody?
How y'all doing?
Wherever you are listening to this,
Whatever time you're listening to this,
I just want to say thank you for being here with us today.
If you're in a position to close your eyes,
Close your eyes.
If you have to keep the eyes open,
Just relax your face and allow your eyes to focus on a spot in between the eyebrows.
As you're sitting here,
Know that you're safe.
We're exploring the mind.
We'll send awareness to things that are already happening.
This might be the first time in your day today that you get to be in the observant mode.
You get to let go of the identity that fits you so well throughout the world.
And you take a moment to see who the big I is.
Let's just start by noticing the breath.
The breath is moving with us all day long.
See if you can sense it.
Aware of the breath.
The breath is moving in and the breath is moving out.
If your mind ever distracts you from getting to your breath,
Then say to yourself,
Breathing in,
I know that I'm breathing in.
And breathing out,
I know that I'm breathing out.
Allow each breath to be another step on this trail of your awareness.
Each breath a little different,
But it's still in line with the path that you're going on.
Breathing in,
I know that I'm breathing in.
Breathing out,
I know that I'm breathing out.
Allow your forehead,
Your eyebrows,
Your eyelids,
Your jaw,
Your throat to all relax.
Relax the forehead,
Relax your eyebrows,
Relax your eyelids,
Relax your jaw,
Relax your throat.
If you feel like you're the gatekeeper of your own inhales and exhales,
Take a seat.
Trust the intelligence of your body to move and to grow and to support itself in a way that it has been.
There is this innate life force that we can tap into so long as we leave the mind clear of what's no longer needed.
Treat what's no longer needed something like an old outfit that you used to love,
That you no longer need,
That served its purpose.
With each passing breath,
We'll shed another layer of this great person that we are.
If you have an intention for your meditation,
Let it go.
If it's truly your intention,
It already lives inside of you.
Let's take one more breath together.
Inhale full.
Exhale,
Let it go.
From my tradition to yours,
The sacred sound of OM.
OM.
OM.
OM.
OM.
We're going to move along in this journey.
A few words you need to know as we go.
Ase,
Understanding,
Overstanding,
Understanding.
They all mean the exact same thing if you don't think about it.
Let's take a moment to focus our breath.
You take an inhale,
Notice the tract.
It's one tract.
You inhale,
It fills up.
And then actively shush it out.
Imagine it was like a push up or something like that,
You're at the gym.
Take an inhale,
Fill up.
Make an intentional dominant effort to move your breath in a path.
Hold it at the top and just hold that dominance.
Now shush it out,
Push it out,
And make an effort to clean it out.
You could do this all day and this would be you completely in control.
Now take a moment to see if you can just relax that idea.
Relax your face,
Relax your hands,
Relax your jaw,
Relax your throat.
Let your breath move on its own.
Let your belly hang like you just unbuckled a bell.
Just kind of let it go.
Blah.
And then watch your breath pick itself back up.
The ebb and flow of your breath is intelligent.
It'll find its way to move through the body.
As you continue to breathe in and out,
You'll notice that you can fill yourself up back to that shape that you once were.
In fact,
If you wanted to assert complete dominance,
You could take a big inhale and just hold it.
Let's try it here.
Just take a big inhale and hold your breath.
Be in this dominant way,
As dominant as you need to.
Maybe you're closing the fist,
Maybe you're closing the face.
You'll notice at some point if you want to hold on to this dominance,
It's going to take everything you have,
Every muscle,
Every bone is going to have to squeeze for this dominance.
There's going to be a point when you realize there's a part of you that wants to let go.
When you see that point,
See if you're willing to relax.
Maybe let out the exhale.
If it's not the exhale,
Let the body relax.
If you're not able to let out the exhale,
Then just let the body relax.
Let the body relax.
Relax your face.
Allow the breath to move to the body.
Relax your face again.
Take a breath in.
Now relax your forehead.
Keep your forehead relaxed.
Take a breath in.
Relax your eyebrows.
Keep the eyebrows relaxed.
Take a breath in.
Relax your right eyebrow.
There's a part of you that holds your breath that part of the body needs to relax.
Relax your left eyebrow.
Relax your eyebrow center.
Reassure yourself.
Take an inhale.
Bring yourself back to life.
Pick it up.
And as you exhale,
Relax again.
The forehead,
Back to relax.
The eyebrows,
Back to relax.
Relax your eyebrow center again.
Relax the sides of your jaw.
Relax the back of your ears.
If you're sitting,
Allow your ears to wiggle up.
If you're laying,
Wiggle your ears up too.
Relax again.
And what does not want to relax,
Will not relax.
I'll say it again.
What does not want to relax,
Will not relax.
Allow the forehead to relax.
If the forehead is relaxed,
The forehead is relaxed.
Allow your eyebrows to relax.
If the eyebrows are relaxed,
Allow them to stay relaxed.
Relax your jaw.
If your jaw is relaxed,
Continue to relax your jaw.
Relax your jaw again and see if there's anything left to relax.
The underside of your tongue.
The space between your teeth.
The moment your upper hinge becomes your lower hinge in the jaw.
Choosing to have the jaw open or closed.
The ability of choice.
Continue to see how your ability of choice is affected as you continue to relax the body.
Continue to have your eyes relaxed.
Continue to have the space between your eyebrows relaxed.
Take a big breath in for 4,
3,
2,
1,
Hold.
Exhale,
4,
3,
2,
1,
Leave it out.
Inhale,
1,
2,
3,
4.
Exhale,
4,
3,
2,
1.
Relax your belly,
Relax your face.
Remember every exercise is a reminder that you're alive.
When you no longer need the exercise,
Allow the body to breathe itself.
Relax the body and the breath will breathe itself.
Without asserting any dominance,
Trust that the breath is going to inhale itself and find places in the body that are soft,
That are tender and that are able to receive that inhale.
And the parts of you that wanted to hold on,
You can let them hold on when you exhale.
You might find there's a perk,
There's a lift that will not budge.
If it does not want to move,
If it does not want to relax,
It will not relax.
Relax your belly,
Relax your face.
Relax your belly,
Relax your face.
Take an inhale and allow the spaces that are soft to stay soft and receive your inhale.
And the places that harden as you exhale allow them to stay hard.
This is your form,
Now when you take an inhale,
Think of joy and all the tender spaces that that breath was able to receive,
You're bringing in joy.
And as you exhale,
The parts of you that don't relax are holding on to that joy for you.
Let's give it a fresh coat,
Take an inhale again,
Breath in joy and all the soft tender places that's taking your inhale,
Painting your vessel with joy.
And as you exhale,
See the form,
What's no longer needed falls to the wayside,
What did not relax held on to keep you safe.
Every time you breathe in,
Give it another coat of joy.
And as you exhale,
Watch the form shift with each passing breath.
Once joy becomes tiresome from the mind and wants something new,
Pick love and then I dare you to try to pick something else.
And guess I seen you wandering away from love.
Welcome back home.
And as you wander again,
Know that that tether of love is there with you,
It's the chain from which you get to drift away from,
It's the chain in which you get to expand away from.
Pull yourself back to this troubled world for an inhale,
Bring yourself back into your space and then the sound of OM.
OM.
OM.
Be kind to the part of you that sticks around to live life,
The aches,
The crooked joints,
Even the,
Just the you can't even explain it of the mind,
Still hold that place tender,
It's allowing you to house your joy.
Namaste,
Ashay,
And ha'om.
OM.
OM.
OM.
