Let yourself feel your breath. Let your anxiety go. That energy is looking for a home. Allow yourself to give it space to land. Give your thoughts room to breathe. Allow the brain to relax. You are safe in your own body. Take this time to connect with your space. You are at home in your body. Take this time to feel the ground. Feel your feet, your hands, your chest, and your head. Trust yourself and trust your body. The goodness of today is available for you, be in awe of who you are.

We'll get things started here.

You can find yourself in a comfortable position,

Have your feet flat to the floor if you're in a chair.

You can let the forehead relax,

Your eyes relax,

Your jaw relax.

You can have the palms in your lap,

Maybe face down here.

Just allow yourself to feel the texture of your breath moving in and out.

For the majority of the day we'll have activities that will pull our attention in many different directions.

Some of the information that we will process today will be information that we seek.

Some of the information that we process today will be things that find us,

Whether it be things in the news,

Things with friends and family,

Things at work.

If there's anything surefire,

It's that things will come up.

So as we move through our day,

It's really helpful to know that our breath is there to support us and we can allow the breath to breathe itself without having to add any extra expectation on our breath.

We can allow the breath to be manual at times when it needs to move or shift.

And at other times we can observe its natural ebb and flow.

We'll do a little bit of both today.

We'll start first with a manual breath.

You can exhale the breath out with an SH sound,

Shushing your breath.

And then take an inhale for a count of one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale the breath out for a count of one,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And then back in.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Let it hold at the top.

And then softly exhale.

Let the breath relax out of the body.

From here you can allow the breath to be manual or rather automatic.

The breath can be automatic and you can just watch it move in and out.

And noticing the texture of your breath,

What it feels like to have breath pass through the nostrils.

Noticing where breath fills up very easily.

Noticing where breath works around or moves through.

Places that might hold tension,

Your breath may feel as if it's going underneath it or around it.

Imagine each exhale was softening some tension.

Maybe mental tension or physical tension.

You can really feel the feet connecting to the ground,

Knowing that things can ground.

You can allow your head to float away from the floor where the spine is long.

You might move the jaw or roll the neck as a way to clear out some space.

All the space,

All the room that you need already exists within the body.

As the breath continues to move,

It finds its way through all the small crevices of the body,

The corner of the mouth,

The space between the teeth,

The underside of the tongue,

All being affected by the ebb and flow of your breath,

Your life force.

Breath affecting the throat,

Allowing the throat to unknot itself.

Breath creating a rise and fall in the chest.

In those times when the mind is very active,

The mind is ready to move quickly,

We can use our breath as a reference for how our pace should go.

Letting our attention span to be as long as our breath.

As each breath moves through the body,

It's almost as if it was a person taking their daily commute.

The breath goes up and down on the same route,

But just like a person on a commute,

There may be a subtle nuance to each individual cycle.

The breath is different in the fact that it may reach a higher point or a lower point.

Each breath tailored to the moment that we're in,

Tailored to our present moment.

And as the breath continues to journey itself,

One cycle at a time,

We may also observe how we,

Our identity changes.

Each day a little wiser.

Each day a little more aware.

Each passing day giving more space for improvement.

On days when we feel there may have been some regression.

We can look at it as if it was a wave on the shore going back,

But ultimately going forward.

The information that may affect us today,

The information that we seek,

And also the information that just finds us,

Shapes and maneuvers our perspective of our path.

If today you find something that disagrees with you or disagrees with your intention for your day,

Rather than thinking this is us off our path,

This is a new opportunity to recommit,

To reestablish,

And to reaffirm where it is that we choose to be going.

The day is young.

We can allow breath to be new.

And in this moment,

You can visualize,

Intend for some part of your day to work in your favor.

Finding a ease and flow to your day,

A harmony to your day that you plant in this moment like a seed.

You can say to yourself,

This is my very good day.

Beautiful pacing, encouraging, with really nice imagery. Loved the idea of imagining waves to help guide us back to our path (itโ€™s not a setback, itโ€™s part of the motion forward). Many thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผโ˜€๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ
