Welcome to this meditation.
Are you experiencing ankle or foot pain?
It could be from a sport or just from your general life.
Don't worry,
This meditation will help you greatly to ease your pain and heal your injury.
Before we get started,
I would like you to find a comfortable space where you can feel most relaxed,
Most at home.
Then closing your eyes and coming into your own inner world.
And going inwards,
Inwards.
We are just going to come into a space of complete relaxation,
Focusing our attention on our whole body,
Allowing everything to exist just the way it is,
The way nature intended.
For now,
We are going to visualize or imagine that there is a basin of pure warm water right in front of you.
This water is the colour turquoise,
A gorgeous bluey green.
This special water will act to speed up the body's natural healing processes,
Allowing all of your feelings and sensations to come up.
Whether they are comfortable or uncomfortable,
It does not matter.
You decide to put either one or both of your ankles and feet into the water,
Depending on where the site of injury is.
This is completely up to you.
Feel the special turquoise water seep into your skin,
Soothing,
Soothing,
Soothing.
Bringing the sensations of your foot and ankle region to the surface,
Feeling what's coming up around the area as the water washes and cleanses.
If you're feeling discomfort,
Such as pain or tingling,
That's okay.
Lean into it,
Not away from it.
The body needs pain in order to heal.
It notifies the body of any damage to a particular area and hyperfocuses the body for healing.
Let it come true.
It's essential.
Whatever is coming up for your ankle and foot at this time is essential.
It's what the body naturally needs.
If you resist,
You are going against your body,
Causing a stress response and a tightness to the area.
We are looking for the opposite,
A relaxation response and a release of the area.
It's not the pleasure or the pain in the natural body that matters.
It's the reaction to the natural pleasure or pain of the specific area.
Let go of your perceived opinions of pain and pleasure,
Letting the body do its natural work.
Release,
Release,
Release.
The feet and ankles are a very important part of your body.
They provide stability and a phenomenal strength,
Being able to carry your full body weight.
For now,
Just providing some love and gratitude for this region.
We are just going to embrace this moment one last time as the ankles and feet bathe in the turquoise water.
Allow it all to be expressed,
From shooting pain to pleasant warmness to nothing at all.
Let it all be there,
No matter what it is.
Then taking our feet out of the water and drying them with a towel,
You are well on your way to recovery.
Even if you feel discomfort in this region in the next day or two,
Resisting it won't do anything.
It will only cause more harm than good.
Allow the body to perform whatever it needs to perform.
Then when we are ready,
Stretching the body and moving yourself around,
Coming back,
Back.
Opening your eyes and allowing everything to be there moving forward.
