From Self-Criticism To Self-Compassion: Rewiring Your Inner Voice

With Olga Ruiz Pilato

So many of us live with an an inner voice that’s harsh, relentless, and quietly exhausting. You may already recognise the inner critic that tells you you’re not enough, not doing it right, not lovable unless you perform... But awareness alone isn’t always enough to change the tone. This course offers a grounded and transformative path from self-judgment to self-kindness that teaches you to meet yourself where you are with honesty and care rather than pretending everything is okay or covering pain with affirmations. Throughout this 6-module journey, you’ll learn to: Recognise your inner critic as a learned survival strategy and begin to loosen its grip compassionately rather than forcefully. Understand where your inner voice came from and how past experiences shaped your current self-talk. Create a felt sense of safety in your body through gentle somatic techniques that make inner change sustainable. Develop new, nurturing inner dialogue that feels real. Learn to speak to yourself the way you’d speak to someone you deeply care about. Design daily rituals and micro-practices to anchor self-compassion into your actual life. Connect with your inner child and offer the kind of presence and affirmation you always needed, in a closing reparenting meditation. You can expect a blend of psychological insight, embodied practices, and mindful reflection without the fluff and the bypassing, as well as guided meditations and journaling prompts to deepen your integration. This is a self-paced experience, with the invitation to join a supportive course community, and, as always, a safe space to pause, listen, and relearn how to be with yourself.
