Hi and welcome to this grounding meditation for the moments that you feel overloaded with social media and just from being online.

Let's begin by acknowledging the buzz.

Notice what it feels like right now after scrolling.

The way your mind might be buzzing with fragments of images and words,

Comparisons.

Let yourself acknowledge that your system has just simply been overstimulated and there's no need to judge this.

Just simply tell yourself honestly.

Give yourself honesty.

That this is the natural state that comes when the mind is flooded with too much input.

Bring your attention to your eyes.

They've been darting and scanning rapidly,

Pulled in every direction.

So just let them rest now.

You might close them fully or soften your gaze towards something still.

A single spot,

A color,

Maybe a texture.

Notice what it feels like to let your eyes stop chasing.

Allow them to be still and feel how that steadiness ripples inward.

Now tune into the space behind your forehead where thoughts often crowd.

Imagine brushing out the leftover static,

Just like clearing a chalkboard.

Not erasing the mind but gently sweeping away what's no longer useful.

See if you can notice a little more space opening up inside your head.

Shift the weight of your body and notice where you're sitting.

The pressure points.

Notice the solidity of the ground holding you.

Sense gravity itself.

It's a quiet reminder that you belong to the earth more than to a screen.

Take one slow breath in and one long unhurried breath out.

As you breathe let yourself imagine logging back into the present moment where your body is rather than your screen.

And tune into the simplicity of now,

The steadiness of being here,

Being alive,

Grounded,

Whole.

Carry this reset with you as you move on from here.

Whenever social media leaves you spinning,

Remember that your body,

Your breath,

And your presence are the truest home you can ever return to.

Thank you.

Thanks. Definitely relevant these days, a constant battle with my phone. If you ever want backing music for any meditations I’d be happy to collaborate on one or two.
