A common way individuals seek to improve their current state is through distraction and avoidance. While both distraction, avoidance and fleeing difficult experiences and emotions have their place, when we rely too heavily on these strategies, we do not learn the skills that allow us to transform the underlying hurts that continue to resurface. As Carl Jung said, 'Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.' Turning toward yourself in moments of dysregulation, insecurity and fear is a way that we go through instead of around. The only way out, is through. By going through our despair, anguish, our deepest fears and shame, we can cultivate deep self-insight into courageousness that acts as a tether to self-trust. This course will teach you skills to turn toward yourself in difficult moments and build a branch that you can reach for in times of challenge.


Meet your Teacher

Rachelle Tersigni is a nervous system and trauma-informed Registered Psychotherapist and yoga and meditation teacher. She brings together yoga philosophy with contemporary psychology to create practices that can be done to enhance self-regulation and personal growth.

This course made me aware of The different states of the sympathetic nervous system, and how that system can react or overreact without conscious effort. This was a critical gap in my understanding of how my body reacts to stress. I could feel the exhaustion and other effects after a reaction, but could not control the reaction. The awareness has empowered me to be mindful when I’m feeling a physical response to stress to determine what state I’m in, determine the trigger, and shift my mindset. Thank you for putting this out there so others can learn this valuable practice.
