Guided Meditation: Rooting Like A Tree
In this first meditation practice, we'll touch ancient traditions like Mabon, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda, using breathwork to expand our lungs and visualize shedding old burdens like leaves falling from a tree.
Feel the earth's energy nourishing you, grounding you, and preparing you for the season ahead. It's a moment to find stability, release tension, and awaken refreshed, grounded, and deeply connected to the wisdom of autumn.
This session can be practiced either sitting or lying down, either in- or outdoors. Keep your notebook handy for journaling after the session.

Lesson 3
Autumn's Significance
Autumn is more than just changing leaves and cooler weather; it's a profound transition between summer's vibrancy and winter's stillness, a universal experience honored by cultures worldwide.
It's a time of harvest, both literal and metaphorical, where we reflect on accomplishments and lessons learned, expressing gratitude for growth. Nature's shedding of leaves mirrors our own need to release old patterns and make space for new growth, while spiritual traditions emphasize connecting with ancestors, exploring life's mysteries, and turning inward for introspection.
Autumn encourages us to slow down, connect with inner wisdom, and prepare for the rest of winter, ultimately embracing the natural cycles of life, death, and rebirth.

Lesson 4
Outdoor Meditation Activity: Mindful Autumn Walk
Let's have a walk outside, ideally around mid day when the sun is warming the earth.
However it can be practiced all throughout the day or even in an indoor setting. It's a gentle, sensory experience that helps you ground in the present moment and connect with the calming energy of autumn.
As you walk slowly, make sure you stay away from obstacles and traffic and keep your eyes open. In order to listen to the natural world at the same time, you might want to listen with one ear only.

Yoga Nidra: Autumn's Wisdom
In our last practice, let's escape into a sanctuary of deep relaxation with Yoga Nidra, a guided journey into conscious sleep and profound rejuvenation.
As the leaves turn, let go of tension and tap into the spiritual essence of the season with vivid visualizations of autumn forests, cozy fireplaces, and starry nights.
This will allow you to release stress, connect with your inner self, and emerge feeling refreshed, renewed, and deeply connected to the transformative energy of autumn. Unwind, recharge, and embrace the wisdom of the season with this deeply restorative practice.
Yoga Nidra is practiced lying down on a comfortable mat or bed and with the eyes closed. Make sure to stay warm during the entire practice.
