This course will help you find peace through poetry. It will guide you inwards and encourage you to explore the deepest parts of yourself, your shadow, and your soul. It will help you give voice to your inner child and the parts of you that are desperate to speak, express, and release. This is not a course on technical poetry writing. We are not aiming to write a publishable masterpiece, but rather to use the process of writing itself as a form of healing, connection, and growth. Each session begins with a poetry reading that will be combined with a teaching or practice that will help you get words onto the page – each session will be part instruction, part meditation, part introspection and part expression. At the end of each session, you will be invited to share your poetry and ask any questions that arise. In this way you will receive personalized guidance, feedback, and community connection. If you feel called to express yourself through poetry or writing, or intuitively know that you desire to find peace through poetry, this course is for you.
