Embodied Stillness- A Journey Of Returning

With Sue Dawson

Embodied Stillness – The Art of Being Present Without Striving This course invites you home — not just to your body, but to the strength and steadiness within. When life pulls us in many directions, Embodied Stillness offers a path of return. Across eight days, you’ll be gently guided through breath, movement, stillness and reflection — practices that help you reinhabit yourself from the inside out. Whether you’re feeling scattered, disconnected or simply longing to slow down, these sessions meet you where you are — offering real rest, regulation, and reconnection. Rooted in four decades of embodied teaching, Sue Dawson — The Body Whisperer — offers not another method to master, but a way to remember who you already are. This isn’t about trying to be still. It’s about becoming deeply present — in your own body, in your own way. Includes a bonus sound bath for full-body integration and release. Thank you, made with love Sue Dawson xxx Sense greater peace.

Meet your Teacher

Sue Dawson is a master teacher of embodiment, known for her ability to guide others into the quiet truth of their own bodies. Often called The Body Whisperer, Sue’s work centres on nervous system awareness, somatic presence, and the art of listening inward. Lesson 1

What Is Embodied Stillness

This first session lays the foundation of the course — exploring what it truly means to be still in the body, not as an absence of movement, but as a presence that includes everything. Through breath, awareness, and deep sensing, you’ll be invited into a state where stillness is not forced, but remembered. This is a quiet returning — a settling beneath the noise, a softening into your inner landscape. From here, embodiment begins.

Lesson 2

The Soft Anchor Of The Breath

Day 2 This session explores grounding not as a concept, but as an embodied experience. Through breath, awareness, and inner attention, you’ll be guided to connect with your physical presence and sense of stability. You’ll begin to locate and trust the parts of your body that feel steady — allowing stillness to become a source of strength. A practice for returning to yourself, especially when life feels scattered.

Lesson 3

Listening To The Body's Whispers

The Body’s Whispers In this session, we deepen into the art of subtle listening — not to fix or analyse, but to simply receive. You’ll be guided to tune in to the soft, often overlooked messages that arise when we become quiet and still. These whispers might come through sensation, emotion, intuition, or imagery — each one a doorway into deeper self-trust. This practice strengthens your relationship with your body’s intelligence and creates space for honest, present awareness.

Lesson 4

Being With Discomfort Without Trying To Fix It

In this session, we explore the courage and compassion it takes to stay with discomfort — without rushing to fix, analyse, or push it away. Through breath, awareness, and subtle movement, you’ll be invited to soften around the edges of what’s difficult and stay present to your body’s truth. This is not about pushing through, but being with — meeting yourself in the raw and real moments, and discovering what opens when nothing is forced.

Lesson 5

Stillness In Motion- Presence That Moves You

This session invites you into the dance between stillness and movement — not movement as effort, but as a response to presence. As you drop into the body, and meet yourself with breath and awareness, you may find yourself moved — by emotion, sensation, memory, or spirit. It’s not about performance. It’s about noticing what shifts when you listen deeply, soften inward, and let stillness ripple outward in motion.

Lesson 6

Resonance - Feeling Your Yes And Your No

This session brings you into resonance with your body’s truth. Through guided breath, somatic awareness, and subtle inquiry, you’ll explore the difference between a felt “yes” and a felt “no” — not from the mind, but from deep within. You’ll learn to recognise how your body expands or contracts, softens or resists, in response to what’s aligned — and what isn’t. This is where discernment begins: not with overthinking, but with embodied knowing.

Lesson 7

Release- Letting Go Of What No Longer Serves

In this session, we invite release. Not as a dramatic act, but as an embodied choice to no longer carry what you’ve outgrown. Through breath, stillness, and spacious presence, you’ll be guided to sense what’s ready to fall away — old beliefs, tension, roles, or patterns. Letting go is not weakness. It’s wisdom. And what we let go of through feeling, we release more fully. This practice makes space for freedom, clarity, and the quiet return to what matters most.

Lesson 8

Bonus Offering Embodied Sound: A Journey Through Resonance

This sound bath is not simply to relax — it’s to listen, to feel, and to allow. The tones you hear may be soothing, dissonant, or even startling. They are not designed to guide you into one particular state, but to meet you where you are and invite what’s held beneath the surface to arise. You may experience calm… or agitation. Emotion might move, or memories stir. There is no right way to receive sound — only the invitation to stay with yourself through it. Let go of the need to fix, interpret, or change. Let the sound move through your body as sensation, vibration, and breath. Let it stir what’s ready to be felt. Each time you listen, the experience may be different. That, too, is the practice. This is embodied sound — not an escape, but a return.

Lesson 9

Devotion -Integration And What Comes Next

Today is not an ending, but a turning point — an invitation to devote yourself to embodied presence. This session guides you through the art of returning: to breath, to truth, to the body’s wisdom. You’ll reflect on what’s moved, what’s been remembered, and what you’re ready to carry forward. It’s a space for integration — and a reminder that devotion is a daily, living practice.

The turbulence and dissolution of democracy in the US right now leaves me feeling overwhelmed and on the edge of despair these past months. I want to participate and be a positive force for good, which I know also involves rest, listening, and giving space to “return to myself” through courses and practices such as this one. So thank you! May others find solace, rest and restitution-even if for a moment, as I have 🙏🏼
