Many women give away too much of their energy to others, and neglect their own purpose and desire. Many are stuck in faulty beliefs of fear and dependency, and have never learned how to fully take charge of their lives. This course is dedicated to teach women the coping skills how to calm and soothe the mind, the tools to build confidence and resilience, and how to ultimately move toward transformation.


Meet your Teacher

Gerti Schoen is a psychotherapist, spiritual counselor, and forest therapy guide in NYC and NJ. She is helping to empower women in her online groups, and offers workshops about forest therapy. Over the past 20 years, she has studied mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral approaches, psychoanalysis, Eastern philosophy, the laws of manifesting, energy healing, nature connection, dreamwork and shamanic practices, and has come to greatly appreciate how much these teachings help in the healing process.

Lesson 1

Empower Yourself: The Force Of Your Own Mind

This lecture describes the scientific foundations of how imagery, guided meditations, and active imagination bring about healing and change. Active Imagination Meditation

In our first meditation, you will experience firsthand how easily our emotions are influenced by the force of the imagination. First, I invite you to imagine something positive. Then, tune into a negative memory, or a worry. Finally, I’d like you to imagine something soothing. This is how active imagination has an effect on our moods and minds - almost instantly. This is how we can learn to use our minds to empower ourselves.

Lesson 3

Beliefs & How They Shape Our World

The beliefs and expectations we carry towards the world have a powerful effect on how the world sees us. So often, we tell ourselves self-limiting stories, and as we communicate these to others, the world starts to believe them. The good news is that we can choose to change our stories by changing our beliefs. The ultimate change arrives when we can turn around not only our thoughts but our feelings as well.

Lesson 4

Guided Meditation To Change Negative Beliefs

In the previous lecture, we learned about beliefs. Today, we'll explore how meditation can help change the negative beliefs we harbor. Start by choosing a negative or self-limiting belief you want to work on, or simply a thought or feeling that gives you discomfort. Begin with something you think is easier to change for now before moving on to more challenging negative beliefs. Relax, and allow yourself to be guided through a healing practice.

Lesson 5

Self-Compassion: How To Soothe The Inner Critic

Self-compassion is the most important healing tool there is. When we can soothe an upset inner critic or experience guilt or anger, we must validate the more vulnerable parts of ourselves. In this chapter, I introduce the theory of parts work. Anxious or depressed parts often originate from traumatic memories, and they do not represent the True Self. In order for the true self to shine through, the parts need to be soothed and empathized with.

Lesson 6

Imaginative Journey To Develop Self-Compassion

In the previous lecture, we have learned that our inner critic is not our true self, but just a part of us that tries to protect us from pain. In this practice, I invite you to identify an inner critic-part. What is it scolding you for? How old is that part? Attuning to this critical voice and identifying its roots is where the journey to developing self-compassion begins.

Coping Skills For Anxiety Or Overwhelm

Anxiety and chronic stress are a part of many people’s lifestyles. We feel overstretched and overworked, and the belief that we’re not strong enough to figure it all out is widespread. Anxiety cannot be eliminated, but it can be soothed and contained. It has almost always to do with faulty beliefs about ourselves and a need to take control. But there are many ways how to deal with anxiety effectively and thoroughly.

Depression & Depletion - Boundary Setting & Attending To Your Own Needs

Many women struggle with chronic tiredness, sadness, back pain, fatigue, and low energy. These are all signs of putting too much time and energy into taking care of others versus taking care of yourself. The fear of appearing “selfish” is common, and must be met with compassion and by taking a bigger perspective. When pleasing others or the desire to feel needed is the main source of self-esteem, we need to redirect our attention. What is needed most is a determination for self-care, and setting boundaries towards others.

The Power Of The Group

Many studies confirm that a group supersizes the healing effect of any kind of therapeutic or spiritual practice. The support of a group leads to greater self-esteem, deeper connections, and self-empowerment. Energy healing done in groups generates stunning results. Studies have demonstrated how group members experience less pain, higher wellbeing, and a sense of neness when they focus on one specific target, and often in a very short period of time.
