This is a meditation for Humanity, visualising and praying for clean, pure water around the world. You will see yourself connecting with water in nature, sending your prayer for clean water and universal access to drinkable water, into that water, and watch the water flow out into the world as it continues with its cycle, carrying your prayers and intentions with it. Transcript

Welcome to your meditation.

Make sure that you are sitting comfortably and ready to begin.

Close your eyes and bring your awareness to your breath.

Follow the breath as it flows in and out of your body.

And just observe how your breath is flowing for you today.

Follow the passageway of the breath as it comes in through the nose and makes its way over the back of the throat,

Down the windpipe and into the lungs.

Observe the lungs expanding as they fill with air and follow the breath back out again.

With each breath feel yourself becoming more present inside your body.

Allow each exhalation to gently release tension from the muscles as your body relaxes and you prepare to enter into your meditation.

As you continue to breathe begin to picture yourself in a beautiful place in nature,

Next to water.

It can be any kind of water.

Notice what comes naturally to you.

A lake.

The ocean.

A stream.

A rain puddle.

A pool on the beach.

Watch this natural environment with water form all around you.

Notice the sky above you.

The weather.

The time of day.

The colour of the clouds.

Notice the natural environment around you and any plants,

Trees,

Animals or stones.

And now bring your attention to the water and notice the water.

Is it moving or still?

Is it clear or cloudy?

Is there sunlight or moonlight reflecting from it?

Take a moment to observe the water.

Perhaps you might like to put your hand into the water and feel its temperature.

As you connect with the water become aware that all of the water is connected all over the world.

Perhaps this water will flow and join the ocean.

Perhaps it will slowly move underground to other places.

Perhaps it will evaporate and fall somewhere else as rain.

Now bring your awareness into your heart and see a golden light radiating from your heart.

Rest your awareness at that golden light as you continue to breathe.

Water is a carrier.

It is able to transport things with its flow.

It can carry objects from one place to another.

It can carry minerals and medicines around our bodies.

And it can carry our thoughts and prayers out into the world.

Keeping your awareness at your heart allow your prayer for the water to quietly arise here.

See the water of the world clean and pure.

See every human being safely accessing clean drinkable water.

With your awareness at the heart picture a world where water is clean,

Nourishing and respected.

And now see that golden light flowing out of your heart and into the water.

See the water shimmering with the golden light.

Take some breaths here.

Connecting your heart with the water.

Sending your prayer into the water.

As the water continues to flow around the world those molecules of water will transport your prayer.

See that golden light flowing with the water into the earth.

Into the rivers and the streams.

Into the ocean.

See the golden light of your prayer evaporating with the water and floating up into the sky.

Into the clouds.

And watch the golden light flowing with the water out into the world.

Spreading the prayer for pure clean water out into the whole of the world.

Come back to your breath.

Come back to the natural inhalation and exhalation.

And allow your vision to slowly fade away as your attention comes back into your body.

Feel into the feeling of your body resting into the surface beneath you.

And if you have enjoyed this meditation before you finish you might like to just make this simple intention to remember this prayer the next time that you drink a glass of water.

And to remember the potential that the water has to carry your prayers and intentions out into the world.

Now very slowly begin to make some movements with your fingers and toes.

And when you're ready slowly open your eyes.

This brings us to the end of the meditation.
