Brahmari breathing is also known as humming bee breathing. In this practice, we make a gentle humming sound as we breathe, feeling the effect of the vibration of the hum inside our bodies. Brahmari breathing is cleansing for the nose and sinuses, helps to clear and focus the mind, and calms the nervous system so that we can feel clear, steady, and focused. This practice isn't so much about the sound of the humming as the feeling inside your body as you hum, so focus on what you feel during the practice more than listening to your humming. Because it can be more difficult to hear when you're practicing this one, there's a chime when we get to the end. This practice is a part of my audio course 'Wheel Of The Year: Celebrating The Spring Equinox,' so if you've enjoyed this practice, you may also enjoy listening to the whole course. Image by Mikiwa
