Before we get too deep into this practice,
Let's just remember why we're here.
Why did you choose to show up for your practice today?
Allow this greater why to flow you into a more expansive,
Natural,
And fulfilling breath.
Feeling the breath as it fills up the belly,
And then the chest,
And then the throat.
And feeling the breath as it releases out of your body.
Again,
Using the breath to fill your upper body,
Moving nice and slow until the breath reaches all the way to the throat.
Holding for just a moment at the top of the breath.
And release.
One last time,
Full inhale.
Holding.
And exhale.
Now allow the breath to arrive back into its more natural rhythm.
Now I invite you to welcome in whatever emotion is most present with you right now.
Whether it be a negative or positive emotion,
Just welcome it in and allow yourself to observe it.
So the point here isn't to allow the emotion to completely take over to the point where we lose our meditation practice for the moment.
But the intention is to just welcome in the emotion and observe it.
Just seeing the impacts that this emotion has on your body,
On your mind,
On your sense of being.
And just observe it,
Connect to it without being the emotion.
Allow your body to soften a little bit more.
And give yourself the opportunity here for a bit of an emotional release.
Perhaps a tear is shed or a laughter is burst.
Maybe a deep exhale is taken.
Allowing the emotion to manifest outwards.
And every time you breathe,
As you allow your body and mind to soften even further,
You become more of an observer of your emotion.
Whatever your emotion may be,
Give yourself a moment here to love it.
Love the emotion for what it is.
There is no judgement towards this emotion.
We are not trying to change it.
Instead,
We are just allowing it to flow through us.
We're not holding onto it.
We're not alchemizing it.
We're just allowing it to flow.
Begin to become even more aware of your natural breath.
Doing your best to continue expanding the breath.
Every cycle of breath that you take,
The breath becomes more fulfilling,
More soft,
And more slow.
As you breathe in this way,
Allow all other parts of your body,
Your mind,
To soften along with this breath.
At any point that you may feel you are losing contact with your breath.
With no judgement,
No opinion,
Just bring yourself back to your breath and bring yourself back into this deep breathing state.
Now begin to invite the breath to flow solely into the belly and out of the belly.
Take some moments here to acknowledge yourself and thank yourself for showing up for your practice today.
And let's re-remember once again why are you here?
What brought you to your practice today?
And now I invite you in to think of an intention for today.
Hold this intention close to your heart and allow it to be manifested from this moment on.
You're welcome to bring yourself out of the meditation by taking a few deep breaths and opening your eyes as you feel ready.
I hope you enjoy this practice.
From my heart to your heart.
From my emotions to your emotions.
From my being to your being.
Namaste.
