So many of us are challenged by our physical body image. It is our responsibility to love our bodies deeply and sincerely. In this meditation, we will dedicate our awareness to loving every ounce of our physical bodies - the parts we love regularly, the parts we are indifferent to, and the parts that we shame. Here is your opportunity to create a loving relationship with your physical body; even if you already have one, now is the time to deepen it.

Get in a comfortable seat and close your eyes.

Allow your attention to come to the natural rhythm of your breath.

And then slowly begin to welcome in a more expansive breath.

So we'll begin together by allowing all of the air to drop out of the mouth.

And take a full inhale through the nose for three,

Two,

One,

And exhale at the mouth.

Two more times,

Inhale through the nose.

Three,

Two,

One,

And let it go.

Last one,

Deep inhale.

Three,

Two,

One,

And release.

And then slowly begin to bring the attention to your physical body.

And just take a moment here to send your physical body so much love.

Perhaps send love to the parts of your physical body that you most often send love to.

So you've had lots of practice sending love to these areas.

The areas of your physical body that you admire the most.

Sending them so much love.

Sending that space or those spaces so much love.

And then slowly begin to shift your attention to the parts of your physical body that you perhaps neglect a little bit.

The parts of your physical body that you don't often send a lot of intentional love to.

And begin to send those your love.

Sending deep love to all of the parts of your physical body that you usually neglect.

Maybe even the parts of your physical body that you think and speak poorly about.

Tell those spaces that you love them.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

And then begin to shift your attention to the parts of your physical body that you may feel indifferent to.

Maybe the parts of your physical body that you don't often bring attention to.

The parts that you perhaps forget.

And send these parts of your physical body so much love.

Letting them know deeply and sincerely that you love them.

And then tell your whole body how much you love it.

Let it know.

And if you feel comfortable doing so,

Even give yourself a hug.

Let your body know that you're there for it,

That you're caring for it,

That you're supporting it.

And whether or not you are still embracing yourself in this hug.

Taking a few more deep breaths.

So exhale to begin.

Inhale fully.

And release.

Again,

Inhale.

And let go.

And as you feel ready,

You can slowly begin to open your eyes.

Iโ€™ve been struggling to love my physical body through the quarantine. I started doing an affirmation - โ€œi love and respect my bodyโ€ - a few days ago, and this paired perfectly. Exactly what i needed to remind myself that each part of me needs love. Loved the music, your voice; it was truly wonderful. Thank you!
