Our minds are incredibly useful as they tend to participate in nearly every aspect of our daily lives. Sometimes, we honour the and sometimes we push it aside, the more we get to know it, the easier it is to decide whether or not we want it to participate. Often when we speak about the “ego,” we are referring to something that is hurting us; however, this mind and/or ego can support us in so many ways as well. Let’s use this meditation to discover just how much it deliciously serves us.

Transcript

Close your eyes.

And taking a few deep breaths.

Inhaling and exhaling.

Again,

Inhaling.

And exhaling.

Again,

Inhaling.

And exhaling.

And slowly bringing your attention to your natural breath.

And really focus on the breath here.

Focus what happens to your body as you inhale and exhale.

Focus what happens to your mind as you inhale and exhale.

What is happening in the mind right now as you watch it?

We are so often in a state of losing ourselves in our thoughts.

In fact,

99% of the problems that we have are all because of our thoughts.

And just notice them right now.

Then give yourself the opportunity to watch your thoughts,

Kind of like you're watching a movie.

Notice the patterns.

And love it all.

Knowing that your mind will always be part of you.

It will always be the mind that you're working with,

At least in this life.

And love it.

Tell your mind.

Tell your intellect.

Tell it that you love it.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

Regardless of where it's going,

Your mind needs you to love it.

Love it deeply.

Love it purely.

Letting your mind know that you're here to support it.

You're here to love it.

And coming back to your breath as you feel ready.

Allowing the mind to be clear or clouded right now,

Whatever is happening naturally.

And loving it as you slowly bring yourself out of the meditation.
