Hello meditators.
Hope that you're all doing well and ready for this practice.
So for this practice it's important that you're feeling as cozy as possible.
So you don't even need to be resting with a straight spine.
You don't necessarily have to be sitting or lying down.
You could even be standing and moving.
You could be going for a walk.
You could be laying in bed on your side in the fetal position.
You could be doing anything.
And allow yourself to just do what you're doing and feel totally good about it.
No guilt.
No shame.
Just love and gratitude and kindness for yourself.
Your eyes can be open or closed.
If you're going for a walk or something like that,
I definitely suggest to have them open.
And just listen closely.
So many of us allow ourselves to feel so guilty for taking time to ourselves.
For taking time off work or time away from our loved ones so that we can spend some alone time.
Sometimes we make ourselves become so productive.
And this is a huge challenge that a lot of us have in society now.
We tell ourselves that we need to be productive.
We need to be motivated.
We need to be always doing.
And if we're not,
Then we're not good enough.
Or then we're not lovable.
Or then we're not deserving.
And I want you to know that you are not the only one that thinks this.
I think every single person on this planet has or has had this false belief for at least a little bit.
And sometimes it's intermittently present.
But what's important to know is that not only do you deserve to have quality time with yourself,
Not only do you deserve to put yourself first,
But it's beyond deserving.
It's just what's so important.
It's important that you take time for yourself.
It's important that you put yourself first because if you don't do it,
Nobody is going to.
Accomplishing is more important than your own well-being.
Because if you don't put your own well-being first,
You won't be your best self in accomplishing or doing anything else.
When you put yourself first,
Though,
It brings you into a space where you can completely and wholeheartedly offer yourself to the world.
Now,
This doesn't mean that you are to disregard other people or be rude or shun other people out of your life.
It simply means that you are here to put yourself first and to take care of your own well-being first and not have any guilt or any shame around it.
Simply because it's the most important thing.
Putting yourself first takes practice and it's something you're going to have to work at every single day.
Make a commitment to yourself right now that you're going to do just that.
Make a commitment to yourself that you are not going to feel guilty for putting yourself first and instead,
You're going to feel grateful to have the opportunity to put yourself first.
Recognize how important it is.
You've got this.
A challenge that I have for you is for you to take at least 10 minutes,
If possible,
Either directly after this meditation or at a later time.
Take 10 minutes to do or be however you want,
Completely guilt free with all the kindness and compassion for yourself,
All the forgiveness,
All the understanding that this is what you need and want right now.
Notice all the love that you have for yourself.
If you didn't have an incredible amount of self-love inside of you,
You wouldn't be here right now.
I hope that you enjoy your time to yourself.
I hope that you enjoy fulfilling this ongoing commitment of always putting your own personal well-being first.
That way,
You can take care of others.
You can take care of your creativity,
Your professional and your personal life more wholeheartedly,
More intentionally,
More productively.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy.
