Are you tired of constantly living in your head?
Distracted by thought and emotion?
In this short session we'll be using breathwork as a tool to move from your head to your heart.
We'll be using conscious breathing holding practices to bring our presence and awareness into the body and heart space.
Find a comfortable seated position with your spine supported.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
Allow your body to enter into stillness.
Close down your eyes if you feel comfortable and begin to observe your breathing.
Notice how the breath moves through you automatically without control.
Notice its taste as it enters your nostril.
Notice its temperature as it leaves the nostrils.
And in a moment we're going to engage in a series of breath hold,
Holding at the top of the inhale and sighing out the exhale.
As you hold your breath I want you to begin to visualise your heart.
Bring a clear picture of it to your minds eye and allow it to fully envelop in shape and colour.
Each hold that you take creates the image and it grows larger and larger,
More vivid and in colour.
So with me we're going to take a breath in.
