Sleep is the elixir of life.
Each time our body sleeps,
It heals and it resets.
It clears out the baggage of the day and allows you to start afresh.
Insomnia affects a wide range of the population.
It is estimated that 10-60% of the world face insomnia.
Sleep always escaped me when I was younger,
Waking up at night and never feeling rested.
I have created this experience to help you fall into a deep and restorative sleep.
You can do this experience lying in your bed or lying down on a mat.
Make sure that you are mega comfortable.
Get all the pillows and the blankets that you may need.
And just allow your eyes to soften.
Allow your jaw to relax.
And when you're ready,
I'm just going to invite you to slowly close down your eyes and allow the weight of your body to be supported by the floor.
Release any muscles that you use to keep you standing up straight and fully give yourself permission to let go.
To let go of the day.
Let go of any conversations you have had.
Let go of any interactions you may have experienced.
Let go of any tasks that you have done or may have wanted to do.
Just let go of it all.
Give yourself permission.
Permission to relax.
Permission to restore yourself back to your optimal being.
This is a safe place.
You are safe and you are held.
Start to notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.
Start to notice his pace,
His volume,
His cadence.
And allow yourself to become absorbed in each breath.
Stay present with each breath.
And just allow yourself to sink deeply into the breath.
Each time the mind wanders,
Guide it gently,
Guide it softly back to the breath.
Now,
I want you to begin to consciously slow down your breathing.
Slow down each inhale.
Slow down each exhale.
And sink deeper.
Sink deeper into a state of complete peace.
Sink deeper into the floor beneath you.
You are safe.
You are held.
Each exhale alleviates any remaining tension in your body.
And each inhale fills you with a sense of calm.
Breathing in peace.
Letting go of stress.
Breathing in peace.
And letting go of stress.
Slowing down the breath as much as it feels comfortable.
Making sure that it doesn't feel panicky or doesn't feel like a struggle.
Slow down each inhale.
Slow down each exhale.
And now,
When you're ready,
Just let go of the control of your breath.
Just allow it to return to normal.
And just take a step back into awareness.
Just notice what's happening inside of you.
What sensations are brewing?
How are you feeling?
What are you feeling?
And in this place of peace,
Know that you can return here at any time.
And I will leave you now to enjoy any sensations or experiences.
Thank you for listening.
Please come back to this track whenever you need.
This place of peace is always here for you.
With love,
Jet
