Welcome.
Let's begin by taking a few deep rounds of breath in and out.
Deep breath in.
And then exhale with a sigh.
Inhale.
Exhale with a sigh.
One more.
Allow the body to begin to settle.
The shoulders relax down.
The belly softens.
The whole body begins to let go and relax with each breath.
Even the small muscles around the eyes and mouth,
The forehead begin to soften.
Let's take a conscious breath into the belly.
A conscious breath into the solar plexus that's spaced where the ribs meet in the belly.
And a conscious breath into the heart.
Allow there to be a slight part between the lips.
The jaw is soft and the breath is natural.
Bring our awareness now to the sensations in the body.
Without any judgment or need to shift,
Move,
Or change the body,
Let's simply notice.
Notice if there is warmth or coolness.
Areas that feel soft and relaxed.
Areas that feel more constricted.
Just begin to see what's happening in the body right now.
And then let's take a breath together.
As we bring our awareness now to the thoughts,
What is happening in the mind?
Maybe the thoughts are in the future wondering what's going to happen or thinking of things that need to be completed.
Or maybe it's in the past replaying a story over and over again of something that's already happened.
Again,
Free of judgment,
Let us notice what is happening in the mind.
The thoughts naturally arise,
So let us simply notice.
And let's take another breath together.
As we bring our awareness now to the emotions,
So often our experience of our emotions is that of a pool of muddy water or maybe a numbness.
So again,
Free from judgment,
Nothing to change,
There's nothing wrong with any emotional experience.
Can we simply become aware of the emotions that are present?
You might find at first there is a strong emotional experience.
And then you might notice that there's another emotion,
Another feeling underneath that,
And then another underneath that.
Simply become aware in this moment how am I feeling.
And another breath together.
Allow the thoughts to settle as we bring the awareness now to the breath.
We'll begin breathing in a specific rhythm together for a few minutes.
Let's begin by exhaling all of the air first.
And then through the nose,
We'll inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Gently pause,
Hold the breath,
Shoulders are relaxed.
And then exhale through the nose,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Gently pause,
Hold the breath.
Inhale through the nose,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Pause and hold.
Exhale through the nose,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One,
Pause and hold.
And then exhale,
Continue breathing in this rhythm with your own body's natural pace.
Pausing at the top and the bottom of the breath,
We'll be here for a couple of minutes together.
The jaws relaxed,
The face is soft.
And a couple more rounds of breath like this.
And then allow the breath to be natural flowing in and out.
Remember a time now when you felt a great sense of contentment,
Of satisfaction,
Of feeling like there's nothing missing,
This sense of great ease.
Recall what that felt like in your body.
And now bring to mind a situation in your life where you find yourself longing to experience something different,
Have a different feeling inside.
Maybe it's in a relationship,
You're wanting to feel more harmony,
More understanding,
Or joy.
Maybe it's in your career,
Your job,
Wanting to feel more satisfaction,
More abundance.
Notice an area in your life where you're wanting to have a different feeling.
And know that whatever is there,
Whatever is arising is okay.
It's okay to want something different.
Great.
Now let's let that thought be.
Let's take another deep breath in and sigh.
And again,
Another breath in and sigh.
One more.
One more.
Feel your body settled,
The belly soft,
The shoulders relaxed.
And now recall a time in your life where you felt that experience that you're wanting to have in this situation.
For example,
If I'm wanting to experience more joy in my relationship,
Joy is the experience that I'm wanting.
And I'm going to recall in this moment a time when I felt tremendous joy.
So whatever that experience is that you are wanting to feel more of,
Joy,
Peace,
Contentment,
Recall a time in your life that you felt that.
Remember how your body felt in that moment.
That feeling expanding through your body.
Remember the way the temperature felt.
Remember that moment when you felt that.
Remember the way the temperature felt.
What did you see around you?
Maybe it was a person or nature or another moment.
Remember what you saw when you felt that feeling.
How were your thoughts in that moment?
How was the body?
Were you smiling?
Were you expressive through your body?
Allow this feeling to grow inside of you as you remember how it felt.
Imagine yourself waking up in the morning with this feeling.
The moment you open your eyes,
This feeling is with you,
This joy,
Peace,
Contentment,
Strength,
Whatever that is for you.
How would you be as you got out of bed and moved through your morning?
How would your first interactions with your family or those around you be?
How would it feel?
How would it be moving into your day?
Maybe going to work,
Moving into a hobby?
How would it be with this good feeling?
See yourself move through your whole day from this space of this wonderful feeling inside.
See yourself move through your whole day from this space of this wonderful feeling inside.
So beautiful.
Let's take a breath again together.
Feel the warmth of this good feeling living inside of you.
Feel the space of this feeling that you've allowed to awaken,
This feeling that was already inside of you.
This feeling that you can take with you wherever you go by simply remembering how it feels.
Begin to sense the room around you,
The sounds,
The body.
And as you're ready,
Slowly open the eyes with the awareness of this good feeling.
See through the eyes of this feeling.
As always,
Practice allows the brain and the body to become familiar with this new experience,
This new information.
The more you practice feeling this good feeling and even imagining your life filled with this good feeling,
The more it will become second nature and effortlessly arise on its own.
Repetition,
Repetition,
Repetition.
Thank you so much for sharing this experience with me.
With great love.
