Welcome to your peaceful beach meditation.
You may lie on your back or be seated.
If you're seated,
You can either sit cross-legged in easy pose or on your feet in kneeling pose.
You can sit on a cushion or have one behind you if that helps you feel comfortable.
Keep your back nice and straight.
Place your hands facing upwards,
Ready to receive all the energy around you.
Gently close your eyes as you start to settle into your meditation.
Let's relax all of your body,
One part at a time,
Starting with your face.
Scrunch your face up really tight and then let it go.
Scrunch your shoulders up to your ears and then let it go.
Curl your hands into tight,
Tight balls.
Feel all the muscles in your arms switch on and then let it go.
Scrunch up your toes really tight.
Feel all the muscles in your legs come on and then let it go.
Feel your belly relax,
Your back relax,
Your whole body is still and relaxed.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Imagine a pathway with trees either side.
As we walk along the path,
We come to five steps.
Going down these steps leads you into feeling calm,
Safe and peaceful.
Going down the first step,
You feel your whole body relax and feel heavy.
As you walk down the second step,
You notice your thoughts start to drift away and you feel more relaxed.
The third step sees all your feelings float away and you start to feel light.
Your fourth step opens your heart to everything that brings you joy.
As you step on the fifth and the final step,
Your whole body is soft and warm and deeply relaxed.
You walk onto the beach.
It may be a beach that you've been to before or it could be one that you're imagining right now for the first time.
You look around the beach and you see all the wonderful colours of the trees and the plants that surround it.
You walk onto the warm sand and feel it in between your toes.
Bend down and feel the texture of the sand in your fingers.
You look up at the sky.
It's a clear blue colour filled with lots of little fluffy clouds.
The sun shines brightly and you can feel its warmth on your face.
You move your gaze down across the ocean and notice all the different shades of blue in the water.
Take a big breath in and smell the saltiness of the air.
It is very peaceful at your beach.
It is full of love and harmony.
You hear the little waves as they gently break on the shore.
Listen to the waves as they sizzle and bubble before returning to the ocean.
The ocean looks so inviting.
You walk over and dip your toes in.
The water is clear and warm.
You walk into the shallows and lie down in the ocean.
The water supports you completely as you float effortlessly.
You feel so free floating here in the ocean.
As the gentle waves rock you,
You notice all your worries being washed away.
As each wave comes,
It washes away anything that has made you feel sad.
Anything that has made you feel angry.
Anything that has made you feel frustrated or lonely today.
Let the ocean waves wash it all away.
Notice how nice it is to lie here in the ocean,
Gently rocking with the waves.
Feeling light,
Feeling peaceful and supported.
It is time to come out of the ocean now.
You sit at the edge of the ocean and watch the waves again.
The peace and tranquility of your beach fills you with joy.
This is a special place that you can come and visit whenever you want to.
All you have to do is close your eyes and imagine it.
It's time to leave your beach.
Take one last look around and notice how peaceful you feel.
You start to walk back up the five steps.
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two and one.
As you reach the top of the stairs,
You notice how calm and peaceful you feel.
This lovely feeling fills your whole body and a wave of happiness washes over you.
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers.
Start to wiggle your toes.
Thank yourself for giving yourself this special time.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
