Hello and welcome to this glimpse to return to awareness.
So let's begin by closing our eyes and just returning home to the beautiful presence of your own being.
Take a few long slow breaths into your belly.
And begin by noticing that everything is appearing in awareness,
That before I do anything,
Awareness is here,
Present and available.
So listen first to the sounds that you hear,
Like the sound of my voice or other sounds in the environment.
Notice that sounds arrive,
Pass,
And go.
And that sounds appear in awareness.
You may open your eyes gently to notice sight,
Vision,
That objects appear in your awareness.
They arrive as light to your eyes.
Pass and go.
Seeing is receiving.
You may close your eyes gently if you wish.
Feel into the body and notice sensations.
Feeling of air on your skin,
The weight of your body in your chair.
And all these sensations are arriving in awareness,
Changing and passing.
Everything is moving and awareness is still.
Now allow thoughts to arise.
Maybe a simple thought,
Like what you last ate for breakfast.
And notice that just like seeing,
Hearing,
And feeling,
Thoughts arrive as information to awareness.
And pass and go.
Next we will look at feeling,
Emotion.
Be present for a feeling that might arise,
A feeling of joy or frustration or sadness.
And notice that feelings too,
Just like thoughts,
Hearing,
And seeing,
Arrive as information in awareness and they too will pass and go.
So we can understand that all of this,
All of the thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations is all information.
Just one thing that appears in awareness.
Everything is moving and awareness is still and open.
Notice that you can't find awareness.
It's not an object.
It's not something you can see or hear or feel.
It's before all of that.
Awareness is open and has no boundaries.
There are no edges to awareness.
It's limitless.
And awareness doesn't come and go.
It's timeless.
And it isn't an it even really.
Because that would be an object.
Awareness is this awake,
Open,
Knowing consciousness of you.
And every moment is an appearance in awareness.
Simply knowing and knowing and knowing.
So notice what happens when you allow your attention to relax into awareness.
Allow it to melt back and be relieved by awareness.
This timeless,
Simple,
Awake presence of you.
Notice that awareness isn't trying to control your life.
Is not trying to make something happen.
And ask yourself,
What is awareness?
Awareness is you.
You are that open and spacious and free being.
This most essential self that you already are is already free.
Right here and right now.
And the invitation is at any moment you may return to the most essential whole being that you are.
Simply relax and come back to you.
Come back to awareness.
