Welcome to this meditation on living in flow.
Lao Tzu from the Tao Te Ching said,
Those who flow as life flows,
Know they need no other force.
When you are in flow,
You feel fully awake,
Aware,
And alive.
You are fully present with what is happening.
You are at one and literally in the flow of life.
Flow is accessed when you notice and relax into the subtle energy or movement arising in and around the body.
You step into the current,
The flow of life,
And all action springs forth with a sense of ease and grace.
So let's find that ease and grace together now.
With each inhale,
Feel the energy of the breath moving into you.
With each exhale,
Release all tension.
Now,
Unhook from your thinking mind and bring your attention down to your heart.
Activate all your senses and feel inside your heart from within.
Notice that you don't need to think to feel the sensations inside your heart.
You are knowing your heart from within.
Expand from your heart outwards and simply be aware of what is present in the boundaries of your body.
Be aware of sensations on your skin and sensations inside your body.
Be aware of the space outside your body.
Be aware of sound coming to your ears.
Notice everything you are aware of,
Not as separate and distinct activity,
But just movement.
The flow of life,
The flow of subtle energy arising in and around the body.
Allow this movement,
This flow of subtle energy to be here just as it is,
To pass freely like waves in the open ocean.
Simply observe,
Allow and accept.
Embrace and surrender everything you are aware of.
Letting go means letting come and go.
Let the flow of energy move through you and all around you without resistance.
Notice the flow of life happening within you and all around you.
You don't need to make anything happen for this subtle energy,
This flow of life to be here.
It's already here and you are noticing it.
Thoughts may come and go.
Sensations may come and go.
See thought,
Sensation,
Sound as simply the movement or flow of life arising.
Do not touch them with your mind.
Just allow them to be.
Feel the relief,
The natural peace and calm.
Life is already doing itself.
Life isn't something you do.
It's what you are.
You are in the current of life's river.
Allow it to simply carry you down.
Enjoying,
Joyfully,
Easefully,
Gracefully.
This is the essence of living in flow.
Now gently open your eyes.
Stay present and aware with your gaze inward.
Can you feel this flow?
My sincerest wish is that this meditation helps you remain connected to the natural flow of life and to become more awake,

To know that you are never separate and fully supported in all that you do.
