Welcome.
In this quiet mind meditation,
We use the science of Dr.
Les Fahmy to learn to shift our focus of attention from one of a narrow focus to a more open focus.
And in doing so,
We shift the brainwaves to alpha,
More alert,
Calm,
Relaxed state.
So let's begin.
Gently close your eyes.
Begin by placing your feet on the floor and your seat in the chair,
Feeling yourself sitting gently upright.
Feel the weight of your feet on the floor and how the ground supports you.
Feel into your body and allow your shoulders to relax.
Allow your eyes,
Your cheeks,
And your jaw to relax.
And take several nice cleansing breaths,
Breathing in calm relaxation and breathing out and releasing any stress or tension.
Now begin by shifting your focus inward and feeling the space between your ears.
Just imagine and feel the space between your ears.
Now imagine and feel the space between your eyes.
Feel the space between the cells,
Atoms.
Now feel the space in your throat.
And you don't need to worry too much.
You're doing it right.
Just trust and know this intention is enough.
Now feel the space between your shoulders.
Imagine and feel the cells opening up.
Now imagine and feel the space between your hips.
Moving down to the knees,
Feel the space between your knees.
Moving down to your feet,
Feel the space between your feet.
Now imagine and feel an invisible bubble extending about 10 inches around your entire body and feel the space in this invisible bubble around your body.
Now expand your awareness out to fill the entire room that you're in.
Feel and know the space in the room.
Now become aware of the space in your body and the space in the room and feel them both simultaneously as though there's no inside and no outside.
Now expand this space to fill the entire city or town that you're in.
Feeling it expand outside the room.
Just enlarging your awareness,
Becoming aware of this space.
Now fill your awareness to encompass the entire planet.
Feel and imagine the entire planet.
Now notice this awareness filling the entire planet and see if you can expand it out into the universe as far as your awareness can go and notice if you can find any edges.
And if you think you've found an edge,
Peel back the edge,
Pushing space into space.
Limitless,
Boundless awareness.
And ask yourself,
What is this limitless,
Boundless awareness?
Is it not you?
You are that limitless,
Boundless awareness.
Feel your body floating within this limitless,
Boundless awareness.
It is you.
Notice and feel this awareness just like the sky,
No edges,
No boundaries.
Everything arising within this awareness.
Notice and feel,
Sense a relaxation.
You are that complete,
Boundless awareness.
And when you are ready,
Gently come back and open your eyes and see if you can maintain this sense of open,
Spacious awareness as you move and go about your day.
