And then exhale completely.
Slowly soften the breath.
As you keep a gentle rhythm going,
Gently in,
Gently out,
In a pace and a way that feels comforting for you.
Now bring attention to your feet.
Let them relax.
And send that relaxation up through your legs,
Into your knees and your hips.
Feel the relaxation traveling through your back,
Your shoulders,
Down through your arm,
Into your fingers.
And now through your head.
Invite every muscle in your face and your body to soften.
You might like to say to yourself,
I give my body permission to rest and restore.

As your body unwinds,
Know that every cell is healing.
You are being renewed from within.
Trust this quiet process,
Knowing that your body is wise.
And all you need to do is simply allow.
