Welcome to this contemplation on your quest.
In this transmission from the I Ching's hexagram number 56,
We are invited to be a traveler.
A traveler on a quest on a mission.
Benefits by knowing.
How to be.
On this journey.
This is the guidance that we are going to be receiving.
First,
Let's prepare our inner space.
Move the body a few times.
In different directions.
And then gently bring it to stillness.
Feeling into your center.
Now gently breathe into your centre.
And as you exhale,
Feel parts of your body that were touched.
Becoming looser.
And again,
Breathing in to your whole body.
And exhaling relaxation.
Once more,
Breathing into your center.
And releasing.
Relaxing.
In prison.
Move the awareness now into the heart area.
Breathing into the heart and with intention.
Relax the space.
We're going to set our intention by connecting with the heart center.
You might like to place your hands over this area or just keep your awareness here.
As we say together.
I trust.
The wisdom I am receiving from this ancient teaching.
Along with my own inner guidance.
Is aligned with my highest good.
And for the greater good of all.
Breathe into the heart.
And as you exhale,
Trust,
Trust the unfolding.
That's the way that you are going to perceive this teaching.
And trust that the elements that stand out for you or the ones that you are meant to notice.
And perhaps there is only one aspect that talks to you.
Perhaps there are many.
Simply allow your awareness to guide you.
Noticing how you respond.
Without judgment.
But just with kind,
Loving awareness.
Breathe in and as we exhale we move to hexagram 56 of the I Ching which is sometimes entitled The Traveller.
Or when this teaching crosses our path,
It is inviting us to be just that.
A traveler,
One on a mission.
On a quest.
Who may find this self in.
Strange Land.
And when a foreigner is in a strange play.
It is for the foreigners' best interests.
To respect the culture.
And the way of life.
Of this different place.
And naturally,
The stranger in a strange land will also have his or her own way of doing things,
Of seeing the world.
This traveler will bring strengths and gifts and talents.
Along the journey.
But it is how it is presented.
To the place,
To the people.
In a way that is non-imposing.
So if you think of the mission that you are on at the moment.
Perhaps it is something large and grand and involved.
A large amount of people and much potential transformation.
Perhaps this is a journey within you.
Perhaps you are discovering parts of yourself.
You have not wanted to or not been aware of before.
So whichever circumstance you find yourself in.
Were you on this quest?
The I Ching suggests that we bring our essence to these situations.
With gentleness.
And wisdom.
With grace and timing.
The I Ching says of this situation.
This is only a temporary place for you.
And know that you will not be able to change your status as an outsider.
Don't try to force any issues or try to impose yourself on the situation.
Instead of trying to combat your status as an outsider,
Focus instead on your own virtues and qualities.
And appreciate what can be gained.
From your condition.
Which may be solitariness.
It goes on to add,
A selfless regard for those he meets as he passes is a worthy and admirable quality in a traveler.
These small kindnesses will have a greater reward.
Let's just allow that all to sink in for a few moments.
And test your own waters to see if it works.
Any of what was shared.
Feels applicable for you in your life right now.
And then let's take a slow breath in.
And as you exhale release that focus and we're going to look at understanding this teaching from another perspective.
Through the symbology of fire.
Above a mountain.
Fire is present in the upper trigram,
Mountain in the lower.
And this is a good sign.
It shows that these trigrams are moving in opposite directions just as fire burns upwards and the mountain races downwards.
And this contrast.
Is one of a temporary nature.
Where in life are you noticing?
Extreme contrasts.
Perhaps between different personalities.
Different types of situation.
And maybe this all feels like a very strange time.
Things were flowing and it was an understanding of life and what to expect and Even though something.
.
.
Dramatic may not have happened.
It's still,
It feels for you.
Strange the guidance in these situations from the I Ching.
Is to be firm and correct.
It says,
If you maintain your modesty and integrity.
You will come to no harm.
And will remain on target with your intention.
We can feel into this imagery of the fire above the mountain by imagining fire blazing right at the top of the mountain.
Instead of going into panic.
Deal with the fire with caution.
Respect this element of nature,
Its power.
And also trust the mountain that you are standing upon.
Or it too.
Has great strength.
As we reflect,
You can ask yourself about your own internal fires.
Your emotions,
Your thoughts.
Have they been fiery,
Filled with heat and reactivity?
And if so,
How can you connect more with the mountain within?
The awareness that you have received will continue to unfold from your subconscious into your conscious awareness.
The right time and the right way.
He's continuing to trust that.
And if you would like to have a deeper understanding and work with further layers of this transmission.
