This gentle, bilateral stimulation practice is designed to help you shift out of the dorsal vagal state, where you may feel disconnected or numb. By guiding your nervous system through alternating left and right side stimulation, you can begin to re-establish a sense of safety, calm, and connection. This track will support you in grounding your body, calming your mind, and returning to a more regulated state, where you can feel more present and able to engage with the world around you. Use this practice whenever you need to reset, reclaim your energy, and find inner balance.

Hey,

Friend.

I know you're feeling paralyzed right now.

Everything feels heavy and lethargic.

Difficult to make choices and decisions.

Just to do life.

Feel distant from yourself.

And that's a tough and scary place to be in.

But you're going to be okay,

Alright?

We're just going to do a little practice together.

Let's just get your nervous system out of this place of freeze and being stuck in survival mode.

And then we can think about all the decisions and things we have to do.

Just take a little break.

Before we start,

Just look only with your eyes to the left side.

If you're trying to look into the corner of your eyes,

Just to the left of both eyes.

Hold it.

Yeah,

Just hold it.

Uh-huh.

Perfect.

And now we're doing the exact same thing on the other side.

We're not moving the head,

Just the eyes.

To the right side.

Look as far right as you can,

Only with your eyes.

Corner your right eye.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Perfect.

We're activating the vagus nerve right now.

And now,

Come on,

Just sway very gently with me from one side to the other.

Just a little bit,

Not much.

As much as you can.

Uh-huh.

Great.

Now a little bit more.

Sway with me.

I know it's hard.

It's difficult.

Just do very small,

Minor movements.

That's okay.

And just slowly increase them a little bit.

Yeah,

You're doing so well.

Your body is just trying to protect you.

You're going to be okay.

Stay here,

Stay with me.

Stay with the movement.

And if you feel like it feels right right now,

Just increase a little bit the movement.

Just sway gently from one side to the other.

Perfect.

Now put your hands,

Cross your hands,

Your arms,

And tap with your right hand on your left shoulder and with your left hand on your right shoulder.

You just alternate the taps.

Yeah.

Maybe you can tap a little bit below the shoulder,

Chest,

And collarbone.

Just tap with me.

Breathe in a few times together.

And exhale.

Yeah,

You're doing so well.

Try and add the swaying again.

Continue to tap.

Life can be overwhelming sometimes.

And it's natural that our body freezes up when it feels too much.

But reality is that you can handle those things.

You are able.

Just need to get you out of freeze and shut down.

Stop here for now.

Take a deep breath in and out.

And if you feel you need more movement,

Just continue with the swaying and maybe get up a little bit.

And shake if you need to.

Shake it all out.

And maybe get really active.

Sometimes that helps as well.

Sometimes you just need those little practices.

And just know that you have this practice.

Just save it.

Save the track.

And you can come back to any time you feel stuck or frozen,

Paralyzed,

Dissociated.

Just come back to this practice.

And I'll guide you again.

You're not alone.

You got this.

I'm proud of you.
