Let's get this straight.
You are not broken.
The world may have made you believe your pain meant weakness.
But pain is not weakness.
It really,
Truly is not.
Pain is proof that you have fell deeply,
That you lived fully,
And that you kept going.
And that,
That makes you unstoppable.
Pain is a proof of life.
Trauma,
Addiction,
Anxiety,
Loss,
Or whatever your story withheld,
That all of that is not your identity.
These are chapters.
They're not your title.
You adapted,
You survived,
And you fought in ways that no one ever saw,
Because you fought also in silence.
And those coping mechanisms that people judged,
They were your body's sacred wisdom.
Freezing,
Numbing,
Escaping.
It sounds weird,
But if you think about it,
That's genius.
That's pure love.
Even if it might have hurt you in your life,
It was your body's innate wisdom to use those mechanisms to make you survive in that moment.
You are absolutely not damaged.
You were designed for survival.
But now,
Now you're choosing more.
You want more.
You want to leave this behind,
And you just don't want to be controlled by it anymore.
And that is wonderful.
This is you reclaiming you.
There,
There's this wild,
Wise version of you that's been whispering inside of you.
And it's saying,
I'm still here.
Look at me.
I'm here.
And I want to be bigger.
I want to be loud.
I want to be heard,
And I want to be seen.
Every time you got back up,
Every time you softened when you could have hardened,
Every time you dared to hope,
It was that version.
So,
Say out loud with me and reclaim this.
I am not what happened to me.
I am what I choose to become.
You're not a project to fix.
You're a revolution in process.
And your story has weight.
We need your story.
The world needs your story.
We need you to show up.
And your presence is sacred.
It really is.
Every breath you take forward is a fire lit in the dark for others,
And you lighting your own path as well.
So,
Say it again with me.
Reclaim this.
Say it out loud.
Yell it.
Write it down.
Whisper it.
Whatever you need to do for it to really sink in.
I am the author of my chapter.
I am in us.
And I am becoming.
You're so not broken,
My friend.
You are becoming,
And the world has no idea how bright you are about to shine.
So,
Don't let them tell you anything else.
Only you know who you really are.
Away from all of those ideas and mindsets and social structures.
Try and strip that all off.
And just remember who you really are.
And if you do forget,
You can always come back to this.
Re-listen to this as often as you need.
Let it rewire your brain.
Let it rewire your nervous system.
Make it your innate truth.
I know it can be so hard in the beginning to even start somewhere if you don't really fully believe in those words yet.
Maybe you have this slight whisper somewhere in the back of your heart or your mind that knows that this is true.
So,
Just let this guide you and come back whenever you need.
This is for you.
You got this.
