Using a Feeling Chart, the ABC technique, and practices of curiosity and compassion, you are invited to notice feelings, ease intensity, and support completion where possible. Using the Feeling Chart and the ABC technique, you practice noticing how anxiety can be mistaken for other feelings and how a specific type of trigger is often at its root. You’ll learn to explore when anxiety is helpful and the key difference between helpful and unhelpful anxiety, including a simple model of the “Roundabout of Unhelpful Thoughts.” You’ll be offered a reminder phrase and reflective prompts that invite you to notice how anxiety shows up for you and to make small, supportive shifts for wellbeing. Using the Feeling Chart and the ABC technique, you’ll practice identifying the type of fatigue—or the cluster of fatigues—that are present, and you’ll begin to see why rest is not always the only or best response, as each type may need different care. You’ll be introduced to simple restorative practices and self‑care strategies. You’ll also learn how anger can become destructive toward other people as well as yourself when it’s expressed aggressively or in passive‑aggressive ways. You’ll explore how fear can drive a range of other feelings and how you actually need fear to stay alive. You’ll also learn how fear operates in the same way whether it’s based on something real or imagined, and how you may even be afraid of fear itself. You’ll discover concepts like “paper tigers,” counterphobia, and how fear is always personal to you, and sometimes even inherited. Transforming Loneliness & Course Reflection
Module 10 offers a thoughtful, reflective introduction to transforming loneliness. You’ll learn how loneliness relates to belonging, how it shows up, and how it is different from aloneness—how it’s a felt sense of disconnection rather than simply being alone. You’ll hear how loneliness is becoming a global concern and is directly linked to life expectancy and quality of life. You may be surprised to discover that it can sometimes make your experience feel worse and even block the very connections you long for. You’ll also learn how your self‑relationship affects whether you experience challenging loneliness or nourishing aloneness. You’ll be invited to notice what nurturing action looks like for you and what small, supportive steps you can take. Using the Feeling Chart and the ABC technique, you’ll practice recognising how you may be disconnecting in ways you haven’t been fully aware of and how to respond in a way that helps create connections with yourself and others. You’ll be offered a reminder phrase and thoughtful prompts that invite you to connect with loneliness in a kinder, more encouraging way. This module supports greater self‑awareness and more actionable responses, as well as suggestions for helpful stand‑alone meditations that you can return to after the course. At the end, time is given to notice what you’ve learned throughout the course. Thor suggests five questions to nurture reflection here at the end of the course. They invite you to set an intention to take with you forward and to check in with the intention you set at the beginning. Finally they share a personal message with you and their heartfelt wishes for your journey onwards.
