The theme of this guided meditation is leaving the illusion of separation behind.
During the meditation I'm going to ask you to think about a person in your life whose physical presence you currently miss in your life.
The reason why they're not physically present doesn't matter.
It can be your kid that left for college,
Or a partner who lives in a different country,
A friend you don't see often enough,
A lover that left you,
Or even someone who has left the physical life behind.
If you like,
You can also imagine a part of yourself that you would like to connect stronger with.
While you settle,
Decide who you will focus on during the meditation.
Let's begin.
Sit comfortably.
Your back upright.
Relax your face.
The jaw.
Settle and relax.
Let's close our eyes.
Breathe deeply.
Nice,
Deep,
Even breath.
Fully filling the lungs on the inward breath.
Fully emptying the lungs on the outward breath.
Now relax into your inward breath.
And extend the outward breath.
Using the relaxation of the breath,
Extend the outward breath.
Keep breathing in this pattern.
And we'll start the meditation.
Imagine a big bright vortex of light just above you.
Imagine how this light trickles down through the crown of your head and pours into your body.
The light fills every inch of your body.
Your head.
Your neck.
Your chest.
Into your arms where it shoots out of your fingers.
And down to your belly.
Your hips.
Pelvis.
And into your legs,
All the way down to your feet.
The light shoots out of your feet into the earth where it connects deep in the core of the earth.
From there it comes back up,
Up through your feet,
Your legs,
Up and up to your heart.
You are now connected to the light from above and the energy of the earth.
And you are filled with light.
You see a beautiful staircase in front of you.
You decide to climb it.
And with every step you feel you become more relaxed,
More light hearted and more at ease.

Two.
Three.
Four.
Five.
You see a wonderful light shining from above you.
Six.
Seven.
Eight.
Nine.
Ten.
You arrive at the top.
You are standing in a beautiful garden surrounded by colorful flowers and delicious scents.
You walk into the garden.
And when you look around you,
You notice that everything in this garden is exactly as you like it.
Your favorite flowers,
Your favorite colors and aromas.
The temperature is perfect for you.
The air feels gentle and light.
You are surrounded by relaxing sounds as you like them.
Maybe it's the sound of birds or water running over stones,
Leaves rustling.
While standing in the garden you have a wonderful view.
Your favorite view.
Maybe it's the ocean.
Maybe the mountains or a rainforest.
Maybe it's the skyline of your favorite city.
Whatever your view is,
It's breathtakingly beautiful.
Everything is pleasant,
Easy,
Lovely.
This place is yours.
The place you can always go to when you want to feel good.
To feel loved.
To connect.
To connect with people you miss.
To connect with all that is.
And to connect with yourself.
This is a place of effortlessness and ease,
A place of love and connection.
In the middle of the garden is an open spot.
You walk towards it.
You see someone standing there.
It is a person who you sometimes miss in your life.
It doesn't matter why.
It doesn't matter if you miss them sometimes or always.
Just see them standing at the open spot.
At ease.
Smiling to you.
When they see you,
They walk towards you.
And you greet each other in a way that feels good for you.
They are so happy to see you.
Now picture them standing about 2 to 3 feet before you.
Look at their face.
Look into their eyes.
Whatever you feel,
It is okay.
Look at them.
See how they smile at you.
Kindly.
Warmly.
Notice how you feel about them at this moment.
What emotion do you feel?
Whatever you feel,
It is okay.
Whatever comes,
Let it come.
All emotions are welcome.
Now imagine that the light you brought inside of you starts to expand.
It is a beautiful light.
It expands with every breath you take.
This light is the love you feel for them.
Now focus all that light,
All that love,
Towards them.
Send the light as a radiating beam of light to them and see how it enters their hearts,
Their bodies.
Feel this stream from you to them.
See how their faces light up with love.
Imagine how they send a similar beam of radiant light towards you.
Feel the love and light entering your heart,
Your body.
Feel how their love fills your heart,
Your body and how it starts to expand in a large bubble around the two of you.
We are now both connected through this light that creates a large sphere in which you both stand.
A sphere of love and light.
While you stand there together,
Feeling deeply connected in love and light,
Listen what I tell you.
I love you.
We are always together.
I am always around.
Even when you don't see me,
I am here with you.
If you miss me,
If you yearn for me,
No it is not true.
I did not go.
I did not leave.
I am here.
Know that whenever you miss me,
You don't really miss me.
You simply forgot to connect here,
In your heart.
If you look for me,
You can find me here.
I am here.
Feel my love and know that I am here.
Know our connection.
Our eternal connection.
Our eternal love.
Imagine that the light that is surrounding both of you,
Flowing through you,
Gets brighter and brighter.
Until you are both one big vortex of swirling happy sparkling light.
Now you feel your connection.
You feel the eternal connection.
While you hold this feeling of connectness,
You give them a hug and you decide to descend the stairs.
With every step you feel you get back into your body.
While still feeling connected,
While still feeling connected with this person and with yourself.
With all that is.

Nine.
Eight.
Seven.
Eight.
Seven.
Six.
Five.
Four.
Three.
Two.
One.
Now you'll return your attention to your body,
Keeping the eyes closed.
Notice the contours of your body.
Feel your hands.
Wiggle your toes.
Your arms.
Your hips.
Your shoulders.
Notice the shape of your face,
Keeping the eyes closed.
Now you may bring your hands to your heart.
Sit in silence.
In your body.
And once you feel completely settled in your body,
You may slowly open your eyes.
It was good.
It was easy.
Every time you notice that you're looking for someone you can't find,
Know that you're looking for them in the wrong place.
