Hello dear friend.
This self-gentleness practice you can do when you are about to fall asleep.
So you are already in bed,
Lying comfortably,
The lights are closed and you do not have to get up anymore.
Make sure that you are lying as comfortable as you can be.
And if you are not yet comfortable then shift until you are comfortable.
Now while you are lying here with your eyes closed I would like you to think of something that happened today that you feel grateful for.
It does not have to be something big.
It can be something as small as a butterfly that landed on your arm.
When you think of it can you connect with that feeling of gratefulness?
Where do you feel it in your body?
All right,
I would like you now to think of someone in your life that you feel grateful for.
It might be someone that is still here,
It might be someone who is not longer in your life.
It doesn't matter so much as long as you can connect with that gratefulness for them once being in your life.
Get a sense of their presence.
And maybe you want to express your gratefulness,
Maybe you want to say thank you and see them receive your thankfulness.
Can you think of one other thing or person in your life that you feel grateful for?
Bring it to mind.
Become aware of how gratefulness feels.
Where do you feel it in your body?
And remember this because sometimes during the day we have this small rushes of gratefulness but we are not always aware of them.
But now you will recognize it because you know how it feels in your body.
And when it will happen tomorrow or the day after or next week,
You'll be aware that you feel grateful and feeling grateful we know from a lot of research is life-enforcing.
All right,
Almost time to go to sleep.
I would love for you to set this intention.
Tomorrow will be a new day.
A new day with new opportunities,
New possibilities and I will be open to see them.
Tomorrow is a new day with new opportunities,
New possibilities and I will be open to see them.
Now my love,
Time to go to sleep.
Have a wonderful night and don't forget to be gentle to yourself when you wake up.
Sleep well.
