Nico is an experienced meditator, counselor, teacher and musician with over 40 years experience across both Western and Eastern traditions. Yoga Nidra practice developed organically out of intense meditation practice and was further guided through support and mentorship from Tanis Fishman. The Yoga Nidra sessions on offer are a reflection of the path traveled and the path currently on. Experimentations on self have led to a deepening clarity and release of samskaras that may not have been accessible through regular meditations. Vipassana (insight meditation) is the practice of being in the present moment while being mindful of thoughts and feelings without attaching to them. The benefits of the Vipassana meditation technique include better concentration, calmness and clarity, and overall well-being. Regular guided meditations (both live and recorded) are posted on InsightTimer. Nico received Medicine Buddha empowerment in 1980, in Wellington New Zealand, and has been progressively deepening this practice over time. Medicine Buddha sadhana is offered as a live event on Insight Timer on a regular basis, and as a recorded guided meditation available to all. In addition to teaching, Nico has an MA Counselling (Monash) and is a registered mental health counselor. Peace be with you.
