Welcome to this guided meditation for safety and self-protection.
During a stressful time,
It can be helpful to set up an intentional boundary for energetic self-protection to help us feel safer and calmer,
Whether we're going into a difficult day,
Preparing for sleep at night,
Or simply need to feel a little support around us.
Take a moment to get settled,
Whether you're seated or lying down.
Fidget as you need to,
To let your body come into any comfortable position.
Take a few deep breaths,
Taking a moment to arrive here in the present moment.
Feel the weight of your body on the ground and the way the ground rises up to meet your body.
Notice that you are already supported by the earth.
Feel into gravity,
The way your body connects to the ground in this space,
The relationship between you and the earth.
As you settle into stillness,
Imagine that there are roots growing from your body into the ground.
Perhaps these roots grow down from your feet or from your spine,
Or perhaps the roots grow from each place that your body is touching the support beneath you.
Imagine these roots growing strong and wide,
Anchoring you to the earth,
To this present moment.
Notice yourself feeling strong and connected to the earth,
Anchored.
You are here.
Your body takes up exactly the amount of space it takes up.
The space of your body belongs to you.
As you allow your breath to get a little deeper,
You may notice that you can take up even a little bit more space.
You can expand as you soften.
You can let go of tension in your shoulders,
In your jaw,
In your belly.
You are here,
Grounded in the present moment.
In each of the four directions,
There is a large,
Heavy stone.
Imagine these four stones making a square or a circle around you,
Creating a container.
Perhaps they're quite close to your body,
Or as far out as you feel you need to be protected.
These stones can absorb or deflect any energy that isn't yours to be with.
They can also help contain the energies of support,
Safety,
And calm within the circle.
What do the stones look like to you?
What color are they?
What kind of texture or feel do they have?
Do they all look the same,
Or are they different from each other?
Perhaps they look more like pillars than stones for you.
Take some time to imagine these four stones,
Creating protection and containment around you on all sides.
Feel the way they connect with each other,
Creating an energetic boundary between you and the rest of the world.
You are safe and protected within the boundaries of the circle of stones.
This is a space where you can be present with your own energy,
Your own emotions and memories.
Other people's thoughts,
Feelings,
And expectations don't matter here.
Other people's opinions about you can't get through this energetic barrier.
No one else's energy can penetrate this energetic boundary unless you invite them into your circle with you.
Notice how it feels in your body to be protected in this energetic space,
To be in a space that is just for you.
No one else's opinions,
Needs,
Or desires are allowed.
There's space here for you to simply feel and be.
Notice if you can relax your shoulders a little bit more,
Or if your breath can move just a bit deeper down into your belly.
What does it feel like to be in a space that belongs just to you,
That's dedicated to how you feel and what you need today,
To being safe and protected on this energetic level?
If you're feeling calm,
Connected,
Softer,
More relaxed,
Simply take a moment to be with those feelings,
To let yourself have the ease of feeling safe,
Grounded,
And protected.
Take as long as you need in this protective circle.
Remember that you can always come back here any time you need to feel safe in your circle of stones.
