Lo que aprenderás
This course aims to support you in introducing practices into your daily life so that you can reap the physical and mental benefits of self-massage. Three forms of self-massage are shared in this course. The first, Shiatsu Doin massage from Japan is an energizing massage, suitable for mornings. The second, the Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage from India, is a soothing, calming oil massage, suitable for morning or evening. The third, Compassionate Hugs, are intended to be able to be slotted in throughout your day. Each lesson will begin with a description of the origins and benefits of each practice. Then, for the Shiatsu Doin massage, and Compassionate Hugs practice you will be guided through the practice during the lesson. While for the Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage, you will be provided with instructions on how to do the massage at a time that works for you.
Note: Some people should check with their healthcare provider before giving themselves self-massage. This includes if you're pregnant, or if you are someone who suffers from blood clots; kidney or liver conditions; cancer; inflammation; or uncontrolled high blood pressure. If you're unsure if self-massage is right for you, have a chat with your healthcare practitioner first.
