So closing your eyes,
We begin this practice by closing your eyes gently,
Relaxing your whole body from your forehead to your neck,
To your shoulders,
To your chest,
To your hips and your legs,
Relaxing your whole body inside out,
Being open,
Being soft,
Being receptive,
Touching the breath with your awareness,
Becoming aware of the breath,
And from there,
Bring to mind a loved one,
Bring to mind someone you really care about.
See this person in all their humanness and consider that just like me,
This loved one has hopes and dreams,
Just the power of that.
I may not know what they are,
But I can be sure that just like me,
This person has hopes and dreams.
And just like me,
This person has felt physical pain at some point in their life.
This person has experienced physical pain and this person has fallen in love.
This person has felt heartbreak,
Has felt excluded,
Has at some point felt not good enough.
But just like me,
This person has had good days and joys and has felt love,
Has felt fulfillment,
Has felt in their element,
Has felt energy.
Think back to one of those moments.
Think back to a moment your loved one was joyful and bask in that joyfulness with your loved one.
Bask in that ease.
Think of something that brings your loved one joy.
Sending the wish,
May your joy continue.
I delight in your happiness.
Saying for your loved one,
Your joy is my joy.
Your happiness is my happiness.
May your happiness and good fortune continue.
And sending the wish more broadly,
May all the joy in the world multiply.
May the fulfillment and the love and the meaning and the authenticity and the care and the real joy,
May that multiply,
May that grow,
May that flourish.
And may my heart rejoice at all that joy.
Feeling into that,
Setting that intention.
All the joy in the world is also my joy.
I delight in all the happiness in the world.
And with that,
Take a joyful breath in.
Another breath.
And take a joyful breath out,
Opening your ears to sounds in the room.
