Lektion 1
Meet Your Muladhara
Welcome to Day 1 on our root chakra journey. Today, we meet our root; Muladhara. On this meditative journey we will move into the body and back in time. We reflect on our past and how it connects to who we are today. We connect to the earth, and to the infinite energy of life. We cultivate the qualities of the root chakra; stability, security, confidence, grounding, nourishment, beginning.
Lektion 2
Challenges of the Root; A Reflection & Awareness Practice
In this practice today we learn about experiences that can cause imbalance or blockages in our root chakra. This practice is meant to be done in a safe space, where you will have time to be alone with your thoughts. This practice can bring up strong emotions and therefore you are encouraged to be thoughtful and when and where you conduct this session. Having a journal ready for reflection is a wonderful tool.
Lektion 3
Tools of the Root Chakra
We will look at the element, color, food, herbs, minerals, and hindu deities associated with the root chakra. Exploring each one, we reflect upon how to use these elements to heal and balance. Our key practice in using these tools is finding balance. I invite you to use a journal to take notes and decide how you will be incorporating these elements into your life.
For your reference:
Element: Earth
Color: Red
Food: Protein
Herb: Cedar
Minerals: Ruby & Garnet
Hindu Deities: Brahma, Ganesha, and Lakshmi
Lektion 4
Yoga Practice for the Root Chakra
This is a relaxing guided yoga session inspired by the root chakra. The asanas in this practice will help you to connect both physically as well as spiritually to your Muladhara. Stored memories and energy can be released in these practices. Some asanas are for strengthening your root, while others bring you balance. Remember to thank yourself for taking the time to nourish your mind and body and carry this feeling of balance and centeredness with you throughout your day.
Lektion 5
Positive Affirmations for our Root Chakra
Affirmations help to reprogram our subconscious mind, which can be difficult to change through conscious effort alone. They also activate the brain's reward system, releasing feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which can help to boost our mood and create a positive feedback loop that reinforces our positive beliefs and thought patterns. These affirmations are all focused around enhancing the positive qualities of a balanced root chakra. Enjoy!
Lektion 6
Grounding Meditation
When we are grounded we cultivate humility and a deep connection to the Earth. This state of being is imbued with grace and simplicity, allowing us to revel in the beauty of stillness, stability, and clarity. As we ground ourselves, we shed the stresses of daily life, and imbue our life force with greater vitality. Join me for this grounding meditation by sitting comfortably in a chair, with your feet flat on the ground and your hands resting in your lap.
Lektion 7
Our Right to Have, Right to be Here
Our root chakra is connected to feeling the right to be here, and the right to have. Developing and embracing these feelings is dependent on your level of self-worth, dependent on self-love. This practice ties these ideas together and encourages you to face the parts of yourself that you love, as well as the parts that are hard to love. It is a practice for practicing self-love and reminding you to engage in self-care. By practicing self-care, increasing self-love, we develop our sense of our right to be here, and right to have.
Lektion 8
Moving into a Balanced Root
Today we are exploring and embodying the qualities of a balanced root chakra. Reflecting on our journey and what lies ahead. Facing the future with confidence.
I wish you the absolute best as you continue this journey, and hope you remember that these practices are always here to support you. I hope to connect with you and the rest of our community in the group soon, to share our experiences and uplift each other. I truly believe in your boundless healing and growth potential, watch out world!
