Lição 1
What Is Present State Awareness?
By focusing on sensory information, you can get out of your head and into the present moment, reducing the intensity of anxious and rumination. This practice can help during moments of stress or crisis, and when used regularly, it can also build long-term mindfulness and resilience.
Lição 2
Short Guided Present State Awareness Meditation
In this short guided practice, you will begin training Present State Awareness by slowing the breath and bringing gentle attention to the sensations in your feet on the floor. This simple one-minute meditation is designed to help you quickly ground yourself and can be returned to whenever you need a reset. A longer guided version will be introduced later in the course.
Lição 3
Present State Awareness In The Short & Long Term
In this lesson, we explore how Present State Awareness works as a short and long-term response to mental distress. By shifting attention from racing thoughts to real, sensory experience, you can interrupt spirals of anxiety, stress, or rumination and return to the moment.
Lição 4
Guided Present State Awareness Meditation
In this session you will be guided through a five-minute Present State Awareness meditation. You will be guided to slow down the breath and notice sensory experience deeply and settle into the present moment, focusing on what you can see, feel, hear, taste and smell.
Lição 5
Focus Rock
In this lesson, you are introduced to the “Focus Rock” practice. By using a small object such as a rock, crystal, or piece of wood, you can anchor your attention in real sensory experience. Noticing its texture, temperature, weight, and visual detail helps bring you out of racing thoughts and back into the present moment. This simple tool can be used during stress or as part of a regular mindfulness practice.

Summary & Conclusion
In this final lesson, we briefly recap what Present State Awareness is, how to practice, and why it works. You are reminded to use slow breathing alongside sensory awareness, to experiment with different variations of the practice, and to return to the guided meditations whenever you like.
