This is a meditation for when you're going through a time of change,
And for when spaciousness is arising.
For when you're being asked to drop things,
To let things go,
And you don't yet know what's going to come afterwards.
It will support you in finding faith in letting things drop and trusting deeply in the space that is occurring in your life.
So sit down and rest down.
In our society we're beset by doing.
The more we do,
The more we think.
The faster we go,
We think that we'll figure it out,
But that will be the thing that makes all the difference.
And yet sometimes.
Sometimes things can only be born in spaciousness.
Things can only occur when there is space for them to come in.
So rest and open your palms,
Place them face up on your lap.
Let your eyes rest down.
Let your shoulders soften.
Relax more.
You do not have to force perfect posture.
To listen to this audio.
Simply practice being open,
Receptive.
Take a posture of rest.
You see,
When change comes calling for us,
Would be wise to let it in.
Sometimes we have a strong sense that it's time to drop something,
To let something go,
To open up and make space for something else.
These instincts and impulses are curious things.
It's hard to see,
Hard to let things go when we don't yet know what's going to come next.
And yet,
We can cultivate trust in our gut,
Trust in our instincts.
Trust in the space.
This is a time for you,
When it's time to let something go.
To let something drop,
To put down something that maybe you've been doing for a long time.
Perhaps that's a friendship or an activity or a way of working.
Perhaps you don't even know why you're being asked to let it go.
And yet,
Sometimes life instructs us clearly.
Those hunches have wisdom within them.
Have faith in the future.
Have faith in what is coming.
Trust in what is being released.
Trust in what is being shed.
And know what it is you need to put down.
Gently and graciously and with gratitude.
Be willing to let something drop.
Be willing to stand in the in-between.
We can practice here now together.
Simply sitting.
Some part of you knows it's time to let something go.
Stay still with that knowing.
Feel the calm of it.
Feel the good guidance within us.
Feel yourself sitting in this pose place.
In this time of in-between.
In this instruction to let something drop,
To shed something,
To make space for something neat.
Does he sit?
Watch the way that your nervous system settles some.
The way that your shoulders slide a little bit down your back.
The way that your breathing softens.
The way that perhaps you can feel some relief at the idea of letting it drop.
That you don't have to try so hard,
That you don't have to keep all of the plates spinning.
That you don't have to go fiercely at everything.
That you're not responsible for everything in the whole world.
And you can simply set some things down.
Drop the things that no longer serve.
I know,
Space can seem frightening sometimes.
The place between what was and what will be is a strange one at times.
We're not yet where we were.
And we're not where we're going to be.
That can be awkward.
And yet possibility lives in the place in between.
When everything is certain and locked in and locked down,
There isn't a space for new things.
So as you sit here.
Get to grips with the fact you don't know what's coming in your life.
It might be wondrously good.
It might be tricky.
But know that you'll handle it.
And know that space is a thing that helps the next exciting episode of your life arise.
If it feels right,
You nod your head,
Say,
Yes,
Life,
Yes.
I'm willing to let something go and to make space for the good that is coming for me.
I'm willing to let something drop even though I don't know what's going to happen next.
Yes,
Life I trust in you.
Because I trust in me,
I trust in my heart and my ability to do a good journey.
And notice that you can sit with this place.
You can sit with a space in between.
You can bear to be here.
You can even rest in this space and relish it.
If you feel to utter some words out loud.
An intention or a prayer or a calling in.
Or just some thoughts,
Whatever framing feels right to you.
Oh life,
This is what I'd like.
Oh,
If I tell the truth to myself,
This is what I want.
Oh,
Power greater than me,
Come and help me with this.
And say it in your words,
In your way.
Feel the potency of this poor's place.
Feel that this is a place where anything is possible.
Where the future can be called forth,
Where you can find faith in yourself.
Feel the magic inherent in this moment.
Feel what could be,
How well it could go.
How sweetly am I unfold!
Say yes to the future.
Say yes to sitting in this space until it arrives.
Say yes to your own heart and know that it can do a good journey with you.
So I invite you to return to this place as often as you need.
Particularly if you're in a period of letting something substantial go.
Maybe a move or a relationship.
Something,
Some way of being that you've been in for a long time.
Practice delighting in the in-between.
Practice seeking joy in the space.
And practice having faith in the future.
I trust in the good that's coming for you.
I trust in the grace of life.
I trust that you can do a good journey and that life has got you.
So as we finish,
Rise up,
Stand up,
Reach up.
Step forth into this new future.
With a spring in your step and hope in your heart.
Knowing that life is backing you and that wonders happen.
And that graces are given.
Thank you.
I wish you so much wellness for the next installment.
Please come back and sit with me again soon,
And if you feel to,
Leave me a comment.
Let me know what's unfolding for you.
I wish you goodness and grace.
I trust that magic is coming for you.
