Tess is a threshold guide, meditation teacher, and facilitator of embodied rites of passage. She supports people in walking life’s turning points well — grief, forgiveness, change, growth, and the quiet courage of becoming more fully alive. A Spirit Rock–accredited Dharma and Yoga facilitator with nearly three decades of Insight Meditation practice, Tess weaves depth with grounded truth-telling about what it is to be human. She is an accredited 5Rhythms teacher and has spent the last decade leading mindful movement and conscious dance journeys outdoors in wild natures, using silent disco technology. Trained in Buddhist Eco-Chaplaincy and as a SomaSource body-based rites of passage facilitator, Tess believes nature is one of our most profound teachers and places of prayer. She serves in leadership at the School of Lost Borders, offering intensive wilderness rites of passages. Tess loves supporting people to embodying their own experience and move more mindfully through the world. Her work is devoted to helping people soften where they have hardened, reclaim agency, and move mindfully through life’s thresholds. She creates spaces where the heart can open, the body can speak, and living becomes more conscious, courageous, and sacred. UK born and grown, Tess now lives in coastal California, where she continues to teach, dance & delight in life. Tess relishes and cherishes space, sky, sea and stillness. She finds refuge in dance, the dharma, badass basslines and beautiful boots!
