So I invite you now to join me for this relaxation of the body,
Allowing your body to find a comfortable lying position.
Allow your eyes to close if you feel comfortable to do so and begin to be aware of your breath.
Fully inhale and allow the belly and chest to expand and as you exhale,
Feel a wave of relaxation sweeping over you.
Take another deep breath in,
Breathing in fresh oxygen and exhale,
Letting go.
Inhaling,
Holding for a moment and exhale,
Allow the body to soften and one more deep breath in,
Allowing the breath to purify your entire being and exhale,
Allowing relaxation to be felt within the whole of the body.
Noticing how you feel in this very moment and bring the awareness to the sensations at the top of the head.
Notice how the top of your head feels.
Draw the awareness down to the forehead,
Down to the eyes and noticing any small movements in the eyes.
Bring the awareness to the nose and feel the slight sensations of air moving in and out with your breath.
Notice how the back of your head feels.
Notice the weight of your head.
Awareness to the ears.
Notice how they feel.
And notice what sounds you can hear in the distance.
Notice what sounds you can hear in your room.
Perhaps you might even notice the sound of your breath.
Allow every sound to act as little waves of relaxation,
Taking you deeper and deeper down.
Deeper and deeper into a state of healing and relaxation.
Awareness to your mouth,
Your tongue,
The teeth,
And down to the chin,
The neck and the shoulders.
Take a deep breath in and away.
Awareness moving slowly down each arm,
Down all the way to the hands and each fingertip.
Any sensations in your fingertips.
Notice what they're touching.
Allow your focus to move up now to the shoulder,
Down to the chest and the lungs.
And feel the breath expanding and releasing.
Awareness to the heart.
Your heartbeat.
Your heart is here with you,
Beating for you without needing anything in return.
This heart has carried you through every moment.
The happy ones and even the challenging ones.

And awareness to the back of your neck and how it rests against the surface beneath you.

Maybe it's a color that comes to mind or your favorite color.
And imagine that color coming in through your feet.
Your toes.
And traveling to the ankles,
Up the legs,
Over the knees,
To the hips.
Allow this beautiful healing color to fill up your digestive system and belly.
Filling your vital organs,
Your lungs,
And your heart.
Allow this color to be received like warmth into the body and every cell within you.
As it travels across the shoulders and down each arm,
All the way down to your fingertips.
Allow this color to move up to your neck,
The jaw,
Mouth,
Nose,
Ears,
And eyes.
And away.
This color travels through the twists and turns of the mind.
Filling every tiny space in your brain.
As it travels all the way up to the top of the head,
Where we began.
Allow this color to fully heal and balance your body and mind.
Breath in.
Resting here for a few moments.
Allowing the body to rest and the breath to be natural.
And the mind soft and quiet.
Body resting deeply.
Nervous system calm.
Allowing the mind to drift somewhere between wakefulness and sleep.
There is nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to go.
Nothing to fix.
Just resting.
Breathing.
Allow this deep breath to restore your body and mind.
Allowing yourself to stay here for as long as you wish.
Resting.
