Welcome to this ADHD procrastination meditation for those days where you just cannot get yourself started.

I know exactly what this is like so I hope this meditation helps you.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Deep breath in and out.

I know this feels hard but I want you to know that you're not lazy.

You're not broken.

Your brain just needs a little extra charge to get it going.

Think of this short meditation like plugging your phone in when the battery is running low.

You don't need a full charge.

You just need enough power to start.

And let's begin to get the body moving,

Just shaking out through the wrist and the arms,

Creating that momentum in the body.

And I'm going to stay with you for the next five minutes.

You're going to take one small step.

If it's to wash the dishes,

Stand up and make your way over to the kitchen sink.

Take one more step in the right direction.

If you've got something to do on your computer you've been meaning to do,

You have it,

Get that computer out.

Sometimes I can really struggle doing the dinner in the evening and it just feels so overwhelming for me and I break it down.

Can I just peel the potatoes?

And usually I say yes.

In the next step,

Can I chop the potatoes?

It's like the whole of the task just feels a bit overwhelming for me so I get it.

So if you haven't started,

Come on,

Let's do this together.

Create some energy in the body,

Get moving.

I'm right here with you and you don't have to do this alone.

Let's do this together.

So if you need to stand up,

Stand up.

Make that your one step standing up.

If you need to put some washing on,

Grab the washing.

Whatever it is,

Start to make a step in that right direction.

I'm going to leave you for the next two minutes just with the music.

Well done,

We're at our end of five minutes.

How do you feel?

I'd love to know,

Did this meditation work for you?

It's a new meditation that I'm trying out.

It's more of a talk really.

Just to get yourself moving,

Get yourself going,

To know that I'm there to support you.

I've been running ADHD,

Get stuff done lives and people have found them really beneficial.

So I was hoping that this track might as well.

So do let me know and if it does,

I'll make some more for you.

Okay,

Take care and have a wonderful rest of the day.

Bye-bye.

Meet your Teacher

This made me ball my eyes out for some reason. In a good way. I think it’s because I’ve never felt supported with my struggles with ADHD, or rather I’ve never really admitted that I have a big problem and asked for help. It felt really powerful to have someone helping me get started and released some shame. Thank you

This helped recharge my battery enough where I was able to get "unstuck" and get back into a productive mindset :) Thank you!

Very helpful! Got me off the sofa where I was supposed to be meditating - and wasn’t… your kind, gentle, and compassionate voice helped me go and put my exercise woolies on to soak! No shame, no guilt. Thank you 😘
