Everybody.
Welcome to day five.
I am going to talk a little bit about this part,
The spiral here in the center.
And this week,
I'm focusing a lot on the soul art itself.
But in the following weeks,
We're going to be talking about the stuff that's happened in between.
And each day is a different insight.
I've talked about steeping yesterday,
Like letting go of what you're doing and going about your day.
And today,
I'm going to talk about this idea of saying screw it,
Right?
And just trying something big.
Just into our body for a minute.
So just like the other day,
I said,
Maybe you don't want to just shake out so hard.
Maybe you want to relax.
But today we're going to shake.
Shake your hands.
Shake them as,
You know,
Wild and crazy as you can.
If you want,
Go ahead and stand up.
I have a nine-year-old daughter asleep behind me.
I can't exactly do it,
But shake your hands.
Just shake your hands.
And then let your hands shake into your arms.
And let them shake wild.
Let them shake wild.
And then let your body shake.
Let your spine shake.
Let your head move.
Just get all that energy up in your body.
Just.
.
.
You may even want to make a sound with it.
Feel the vibration move all the way through you.
All right.
And then just for a minute,
I want you to make a gesture.
It can be any gesture you want.
It might be like,
Oh,
Letting your arms go wide.
It might be if you're standing up that you're using your back and your spine in it.
Just make a big gesture,
Whatever it be.
Oh,
I'm sitting down,
So I'm just going to.
I want to feel the space around me.
And next time we do this gesture,
I want you to give it a sound.
And that sound could be a word.
It could be any kind of like sound with your mouth.
It could be a hum.
It could be a scream.
Maybe you have a scream in you today,
You know,
Whenever it be.
So just go ahead and do that gesture again and give it a little sound like.
You know,
Whatever that be for you.
And just let that sound be heard.
And then I want you to.
When you're done with that,
Just stop and be still for a minute in your body.
See what it feels like.
Can you feel the energy moving?
I can,
And I'm sitting down.
Just feel the energy moving.
It's a beautiful way to wake up in the morning.
And maybe after you've had your coffee.
But just allowing your body to feel the movement,
To feel the energy,
To get things moving.
That's often what happens when I get to that moment where I'm like,
Screw it,
I'm just going to do something,
Right?
I'm just going to,
I don't know what exactly to do.
I can feel myself be present with it.
And I'm like.
I'm just going to go for the big gesture.
I'm just going to go for the energy.
So that's what happened with this.
Yesterday um we were talking about how i let it steep and i did let it steep and then i was like i need to work on it now but i didn't know quite what to do so i decided i wanted to like i was i don't want to mess with it it had those moments right i don't want to mess with it oh what if i screw what if i mess it up right all that stuff but i knew i needed to change something I knew I needed to add something.
It was this spiral here that I added.
And that spiral was a huge gesture with my arm.
I just noticed that I wanted to be circular.
I wanted to be open.
I wanted my arm to move,
Right?
So I let that go.
And it was the most freeing thing to be able to do that.
Now,
I,
For years,
Danced with Gabrielle Roth in the five rhythms.
Since I was 12 or 13.
And so movement is something that actually comes very naturally to me.
I find that sometimes when we use movement,
It becomes a reflection of what we can do in our life.
Like it reminds us,
Oh yeah,
There's something else here.
There's something bigger here,
Right?
It reminds us of the natural energy that we have within us.
It reminds us when we can actually move and see it in our body,
That we are capable of it.
So I often use movement in my art.
I maybe will start with like feeling something and I will move my body like it wants to move.
And then I'll take a paintbrush and I'll do that same gesture on the paper.
And often in those moments,
It's when I'm like,
Oh,
I'm going to mess it up.
I don't know what I'm going to do.
What am I going to do?
What's it going to look like?
And I just say,
Screw it.
And I just do it.
I go get like this one.
I think I got just red and black.
I maybe put brown in it as well.
And I like put them in a line just right in the spiral.
And then I just took my brush.
I let my hand go and it felt so free.
And this part of the painting is the part that opened the whole thing up.
This is what opened my whole soul art up.
So sometimes we're looking at things and I'm going,
You know,
What what's the angle?
How do I get into what is it that this painting needs right in my life?
What do I need?
What's the angle?
I'm thinking and I'm thinking and I'm thinking and I'm looking at it and I'm walking away,
Zooming out and I'm zooming in.
Right.
And then all of a sudden,
Like it just gets too much.
Right.
So I just say,
Screw it.
And I start to move with the painting so we can do this with our lives.
Raise your hand if you have something going on in your life where you're like,
Ah,
I can't figure it out.
Like,
I don't know what I'm doing.
And I keep looking at it from this angle and this angle and this angle and this angle.
And I don't see the opening.
Like we all have that where we just think it through and we're like,
Wow,
Why can't I see it?
Right.
We're taught that we're taught that we can figure out problems through thinking through things and looking at all the angles.
Feeling what your body feels like when you maybe think of that thing and start to move a little,
Right?
I have this decision I have to make,
Right?
So I don't know what I want to do.
So I'm just going to put the music on.
I'm going to dance.
And maybe I'll pick a song that has my frustration in it.
Which I mean,
I'm Gen X,
Right?
So like there's lots of songs that have that frustration and I'll put it on and I will just dance and I'll maybe not even think about the decision.
I'll just move.
But the intention was there.
Remember we talked about once you have an intention,
That energy is moving.
That's why we can steep sometimes,
Right?
That energy is moving.
So even though I'm not thinking about it during my dance,
I am feeling into it and the energy is moving.
And then when I stop,
I can feel what my body wants to tell me.
And it's not like a guaranteed thing that you'll get there,
But you will have a release and you will be able to see what your body is capable of.
So it's interesting.
You know,
I don't know if sometimes we go into that thinking mode because we're afraid of doing the wrong thing.
That's often what I do.
Make sure that I have everything covered because that's what moms do.
And I have three kids,
Two teenagers,
Right?
So that's what moms do.
They think of every possible scenario so that they get their kids what they need,
Right?
But sometimes it's really just about like needing to move it in your body.
Have the gesture,
The big gesture,
Like funny because coming from the nature,
A lot of times my gesture has to do with my hair and my head because my head is so just heavy with this stuff,
Right?
Want to like move it and like get all that hair and all that energy in my hair moving and picking up all the stuff around it,
Right?
And I find that when I do that,
I can find peace.
And whether I get that answer from that peace,
From the energy that's within me,
From that letting go for a few minutes,
That's how this spiral came to be.
Because I'm serious.
I was looking around at all different angles,
And I couldn't figure it out.
I'm like,
What is it that it wants?
And I knew the painting was talking to me because it's my soul art.
It's my soul talking to me.
I knew that it was talking to me,
Saying,
This needs something.
It needs something.
But I couldn't figure it out with my mind,
Right?
So I moved it into my body.
So let's take this into your life,
Right?
Let's take this into a decision that you have to make,
Something that's on your mind,
Goals where you're trying to get the best possible outcome.
Right.
And you've maybe been in your head.
You've maybe been like,
Who really just,
You know,
Moving in and out of the intellectualizing of it.
Or maybe you're like just trying to figure it out.
You're not figuring out all the pros and cons,
But you're like stuck.
Like,
What is this?
So everyone think of something for yourself in your life that has that.
What is it in your life that you are circling?
Let's call it circling.
You know,
It might be a creative project,
Might be a relationship,
Might be a decision you have to make,
Whatever it is.
Just get that in your mind.
For a minute,
I want you just to say out loud,
Right?
I have been trying to figure this out.
Just say that out loud wherever you are.
I have been trying to figure this out.
And feel how heavy those words are.
I've been trying to figure this thing out.
That's heavy,
Man.
That's stressful.
I've been trying to figure this thing out.
It's really,
It takes a lot of effort,
Doesn't it?
To figure things out.
Man,
There's so much effort in that.
Now,
I want you to,
For a moment,
Just come up with a sound.
It can be any sound that is a representation of all that mental effort that you do.
You know,
It might be.
It might be,
Oh,
It might be,
Right?
Whatever your sound is,
I want you to make that sound,
That sound that's connected to the effort that you're putting into trying to figure this out,
Whatever that sound is.
I wish I could be really loud right now,
But my daughter is sleeping and I feel like my sound for all the effort that I put in is more like an,
Ah,
But for you,
Come up with your sound.
Right.
And let it out.
Don't try to control the sound.
Just let it out.
All of that effort for trying to figure something out.
I feel that one.
Let that sound out.
Hope you're letting that sound out.
Now I want you to do that sound again,
But add a gesture to it.
Add maybe a big gesture or a movement in your body.
Okay,
So like I can feel that sound that I just did.
I can feel that my body wants to like vibrate with it.
So I'm going to go.
Right.
That's my gesture.
That's my movement.
And if I was to bring it down into one gesture,
It might be.
Right.
That might be my gesture.
So I want you to come up with a gesture in your sound and let them live together.
Weave them together.
One gesture for all that stuff you're trying to figure out.
And one sound for all of that.
Mental energy man it feels good let it go it might be if you're standing up that it's a big jump and you know landing on your feet it might be it could be really anything like i said often i'm getting rid of my my mental with my head because i feel like i put i'm aquarius I'm a 4-1 in human design and I am always in my head.
So oftentimes when I'm in the middle of doing soul art,
When I'm in the middle of writing,
It's with my head and it's right.
It's letting my mouth just relax and that sound.
Now,
Now that you've done that,
Just stop for a minute.
Ah.
And just ask.
What do I really want to do?
So in the stillness,
After letting that out.
Is this calling for?
What do I really need to do?
What do I want to do?
And just close your eyes and listen.
You might breathe,
Feel the energy,
Feel that physical response that you had there with that movement,
That gesture,
That sound.
What is it calling for?
Just allow yourself to sit in it and listen.
Listen with your inner eyes,
Your inner ears.
Listen with your felt sense,
With your sensations across your body.
Listen.
Hmm.
And really,
While you're doing that,
Notice that sense of release in your body.
The energy moving,
Things are going.
And this is the place that I created that spiral from.
This is the place that my symbol came out.
In soul art,
We often use symbols.
And I find them all the time.
And this is where my symbol came out.
Moved gesture felt it all of a sudden I let that gesture go on the paper the solar process i ended up writing with it talking with it being with it embodying it and i'll talk about all of these in the coming days we have lots of days but i'll talk about all the different ways that i worked with this symbol too right like just i've worked with the whole piece but with this symbol this part of the symbol Can you imagine if you just stop trying to figure everything out and start trusting the process?
Start trusting your body.
Start trusting that your soul is in your body and your body is a vehicle for communication.
Can you imagine that?
That you can trust that you have the answers.
You have the answers.
You don't need the mental gymnastics in the same way.
Now,
Sometimes they're important,
Right?
You're going to fill out an insurance policy or something.
Yeah,
That's important.
But with these decisions that we make.
Imagine you can trust your body.
Your body is the vehicle to communicate with your soul.
And you have all the answers that you need.
So I'm going to ask you some questions.
You know,
I've been giving questions each time.
So you can let these settle,
See if one settles with you,
Maybe all of them.
Just listen.
You don't have to answer it.
If you want to,
You totally can.
Where in your life are you trying to think your way to an answer that can only be felt?
That you can only feel your way through.
Where have you been trying to think your way through something?
And it can only be felt through.
Often that's relationship stuff as well.
Self,
Self-love,
Self-worth,
Self-deserving.
All of that is we try to think our way,
But we got to feel our way,
Right?
What would going big look like in a situation where you've been playing small?
What would going big look like in a situation where you have been playing small?
What wants to emerge if you stop trying to control the outcome?
What wants to emerge if you stop trying to control the outcome?
If we start letting our energy move it,
Right?
And where do you need to trust an outlandish impulse?
Instead of a reasonable option.
I'm not saying this is going to be everywhere in your life,
But Again,
Where do you need to trust an outlandish impulse?
Instead of the reasonable option so you can just let those questions land let them be for the day right maybe today you'll find that in a moment of like ah mental energy that you just stop and shake it out or you find the gesture right it's funny you know my husband lives with me so i often have these gestures that come out before i say something because i want to communicate something but i gotta i gotta feel it first So it's a really crazy situation in my home,
And he knows when I start moving like that,
He knows that I'm holding on to something that I need to say,
That I want to let go,
And I don't know how to do it quite yet.
So maybe during the day you'll find yourself making a gesture.
Feeling it in your body,
Like really feeling the felt scent.
Make that gesture.
Come back,
Breathe.

There's one thing we do in the Akashic Records.
We clear out distortion before we're in the records,
Right?
We clear out,
We transmute all distortion,
Static interference.
Because when you clear that distortion,
Static,
And interference,
You get the clear felt sense.
And that's what this does.
That's what this does.
It clears out the distortion,
The interference,
All of that,
Right?
The static.
And then we can feel.
This is where I am.
This is who I am.

Be with your body.
Let it gesture.
Let it feel.
And then hear what your felt sense is trying to say,
