Welcome.
This is part of my coming home to yourself.
It is not deep meditation.
It's for those moments in life when you have a few minutes to come home to yourself.
It's not forever.
It's not dramatic.
It's just long enough to let yourself land.
Maybe you are literally under the covers,
Or maybe you're longing for that feeling,
The warmth,
The softness,
The moment to yourself,
That pause.
Either way,
Let this be that moment.
Let your body give its weight to whatever is beneath you.
Let the support beneath you hold you.
And just for a second,
Stop holding yourself up so much.
Feeling the surface underneath,
Whether it's a bed,
A couch,
A chair,
The floor.
Let yourself be held,
Be received.
And just notice the weight of your body.
Notice where in your body you've been carrying too much.
Notice the places in you that have been staying alert,
Useful,
Responsible.
And for the next breath,
Let something in you hand it over.
Not all of it,
Just enough to soften a little bit more.
So take a slow breath and really bring your awareness into your heart space.
So you're breathing into your heart space.
And exhale.
Again,
Breathing into your heart space,
Inhaling,
Exhaling,
Letting just a little something be handed back.
Feel the weight of your body,
Inhaling into the heart.
And exhale slowly.
Now you're imagining the breath,
Just making a little more room in the heart space,
A little more warmth,
A little more home in your heart.
And inhaling.
And exhaling.
You can inhale a little more warmth.
And exhale.
Inhale a little more home.
And exhale.
And as you breathe,
Silently ask,
What would it feel like to come home to myself right now?
Not when everything's done,
When the to-do list is all crossed off,
Not when everyone else is perfectly okay,
But right here.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Feel your weight melting into it.
Feel your breath.
Feel the quiet pause inside.
And if it helps,
You can place a hand over your heart and say silently to yourself,
I can rest here for a moment.
I can let myself be held.
I deserve this.
I can find home within my own body.
Take one more breath into the heart space,
Expanding the heart space energetically past the body into the energetic body,
The emotional body,
The mental body.
And then exhale slowly out.
You can stay with this breath a little longer if you'd like to,
Or you can just carry this softness with you as you rise and move forward into your day.
Namaste.
