Welcome and this track is around the morning,
The first thing we do when we wake up,
Before the day begins,
Before the messages,
The roles,
The decisions,
The movement,
The to-do list.
This is the moment to come back to yourself,
Right?
Not by doing more,
Not by preparing harder,
But just by arriving here before the world starts reaching out for you.
If you're lying down and you're still in bed and you haven't gotten up,
That is perfect.
If you've already gotten up and you're sitting in a chair and you're just taking a moment before the day,
Another beautiful time to become present with yourself.
So wherever you are,
Don't get up and I want you to take a moment and look around your space.
Just let your eyes,
Move your head,
Just wander and look in your space.
I want you to name a few things in your space that feel steady,
Familiar,
Safe,
Something that supports you.
An example would be the floor.
The floor supports me when I walk.
It holds me up,
Right?
It might be the roof.
You know,
The roof over your head keeps you safe.
It might be a plant bringing oxygen into your room.
It might be a doorway.
It might be a window with light coming through it.
It might be the blanket next to you that keeps you warm when you're cold.
We don't need stories.
We just need to name the things in your environment,
In your space that feel safe and supportive.
That's all we're doing.
So go ahead and look around.
Just name a few things.
No stories.
Just name it.
And you could do this silently.
These are things that tell your system,
I am here.
This is now.
I'm in this room.
There are things supporting me.
I am safe enough in this moment.
Now for a minute,
Let your awareness go into your body.
You know,
The systems,
The organs inside of the body.
And notice a few things that you can name in your body.
It might be your heart.
It's beating.
It's keeping you alive.
It might be your lungs breathing.
It might be your liver,
Right?
It might be how your liver flushes toxins.
It might be your circulatory system or your nervous system.
Just name a few things with no story.
Just the thing.
Name a few things inside of yourself that are supporting you,
Supporting this life.
These are things inside you that are still here,
Still holding,
Still supporting your life.
And then bring your awareness to your body as a whole.
And thinking about,
Well,
I'm gonna go through this day,
Right?
What parts of my body are gonna support me in that?
It might be your fingers and your hands.
It might be your feet getting you somewhere.
It might be your brain.
It might be your digestive system.
As you eat,
It's going to support you.
Anything around your body,
Just your whole body,
Not just the inside,
But let your eyes move down your body.
All the different pieces of your body that support you throughout the day.
And just name them.
You don't have to name what they do.
Just name these parts of your body.
These parts that are going to support you throughout your day.
And then just take one slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Let it go with a sigh.
Again,
Just breathing in gently through your nose.
And exhaling with a longer sigh.
Just let it out.
This is not a long meditative track.
This is about things that you can do every day in your life.
Just takes a minute,
A little bit of awareness.
So breathing in.
Maybe stretch at the top with your arms up over your head.
And then sighing out,
Letting your arms come down.
And then just for a minute,
Pause.
Feel that.
Feel the energy moving in your body.
What we've just done is we've created safety in your environment.
We've created safety within your body and of your body.
Right?
We have really set you up in a moment to now enter your day.
You are present.
You are clear.
You are here.
Right?
Ready to enter your day.
We're not starting with some backlog of things.
We're not starting with what we have to do.
It's okay,
We're here.
This is where I am.
This is the parts of me that are supporting.
This is my present moment.
You might quietly,
Just for a moment,
Say to yourself,
I can begin from here.
I can begin gently.
I don't have to leave myself behind to start the day.
You might want to take one easy breath.
And when you're ready,
Just rise slowly and bring yourself with you.
