The first few moments after we wake up often set the rhythm for the rest of the day.
Let's make sure we begin from a place where we feel in tune with our best self,
Centered,
Balanced and energized.
Find a comfortable seated position,
Either on a cushion or a chair,
Ensuring your back is straight but relaxed.
Imagine that your posture reflects the attitude that you'd like to bring into this day.
I often like to think of a dignified posture,
Of a queen or king sitting on a throne,
Commanding but kind,
Powerful but just.
Close your eyes gently,
Allowing yourself to settle into this moment.
Bring forth the intention for this meditation.
It may take a form of an affirmation.
I am balanced,
I am energized,
I am ready to embrace the day with clarity and purpose.
Repeat it quietly a few times in your mind.

Now,
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely and then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension or stress you may be carrying.
Let's do it together.
In and out.
With each breath,
Feel yourself becoming more present in this moment.
Allow the rhythm of your breath to guide you into a state of relaxation.
Now,
Bring your awareness to the sensations in your body.
Embrace any areas of tension or discomfort without judgment.
With each breath,
Imagine sending gentle waves of relaxation to these areas,
Allowing them to soften and release.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine a warm golden light surrounding you,
Filling you with a sense of peace and tranquility.
With each inhale,
Allow this light to enter your body,
Filling you with positive energy.
And with each exhale,
Release any negativity or doubt that may be holding you back.
Now,
Bring your attention to your heart center,
The seat of your emotions and inner wisdom.
Visualize a radiant ball of light glowing brightly within your chest,
Expanding with each breath.
Feel this light growing stronger with each heartbeat,
Filling you with love,
Compassion and gratitude.
As you bask in the warmth of this loving energy,
Affirm again to yourself,
I am balanced,
I am energized,
I am ready to embrace the day with clarity and purpose.
Take a moment to express gratitude for this opportunity to cultivate balance and energy within yourself.
Know that you carry this sense of peace and vitality with you throughout your day.
