Please find a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold this breath for a moment,
Then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension.
Inhale deeply again,
Filling your lungs with air,
Visualising energy flowing into your body.
Hold that breath,
Feeling warmth and light expanding within you.
Exhale fully,
Letting go of anything that doesn't belong to you,
Obligations,
Expectations or pressures.
Now settle into your regular rhythm of breathing and let your mind rest on the word no.
Picture it as a protective shield around you.
When you say no,
You are not shutting doors,
Rather you are setting boundaries that honour your energy and wellbeing.
Now repeat to yourself,
It's okay to say no.
With each breath in,
Allow this phrase to sink deeper into your consciousness.
With each breath out,
Release any guilt or fear associated with it.
Consider the commitments in your life.
Imagine each one as a thread in a tapestry.
As you reflect,
Notice which threads are vibrant and nourishing and which ones feel heavy or draining.
Visualise gently pulling away the threads that no longer serve you,
Allowing space for those that energise and fulfil you.
Remind yourself that by saying no,
You create room for opportunities that align more closely with your true self.
Breathe deeply and feel a sense of liberation wash over you when you prioritise your needs.
I'd like you to think of a recent situation where saying no felt challenging.
Picture it now.
Allow it to surface,
But don't allow yourself to dwell on it.
Instead,
Envision how you might have responded differently,
How saying no might have preserved your precious energy.
As thoughts and feelings arise,
Acknowledge them without judgement.
Embrace the understanding that protecting your energy is a powerful act of self-care.
Bring your focus back to your breath.
With each inhale,
Fill your heart with courage and with each exhale,
Release the weight of obligation.
Let the mantra,
I am worthy of protecting my energy,
Echo softly in your mind.
I am worthy of protecting my energy.
When you feel ready,
Take one last deep breath in,
Hold it,
And then exhale completely.
As you open your eyes,
Carry this awareness of the power of saying no with you,
Knowing that you are capable of protecting your energy and your peace.
Let this practice be a reminder that caring for yourself is not just important,
It is essential.
Pause for a moment before moving back into the world.
Take this strength with you and trust in your capacity to honour your own needs and boundaries.
