Sometimes we reach a place where we're ready to start a new chapter.
We typically do this at New Year or perhaps on our birthdays as we're planning for the year ahead,
But we can begin again in any given moment.
We can start over in the very next breath.
Let's do that together today.
Take a moment to get comfortable and then close your eyes.
Allow your breath to be easy,
Flowing in its natural rhythm.
Notice how your body rises on an inhale and falls on an exhale,
An ebb and flow that takes place so naturally you barely even notice it.
Your body is always renewing.
Your cells are always replenishing themselves.
Your skin sheds and regenerates.
All of this happens easily and effortlessly.
The process of starting over is actually very familiar to your body.
Let that be a reminder that beginning again is accessible to you.
You are a fluid being in a fluid body.
Nothing is static.
Nothing is final.
Change is yours for the making.
Take a deep inhale.
As you exhale,
Imagine yourself releasing any thoughts or feelings that you'd like to let go of.
Now imagine you're walking through a garden.
All around you are beautiful plants and flowers.
Everything is lush and vibrant.
You can feel the energy emanating from each living thing.
As you continue to walk,
You come to a patch of soil where nothing is yet planted.
This is your space,
Your very own garden to grow.
In the palm of your hand,
There are some seeds.
These seeds are yours to name.
They are yours to nurture.
As you tend to the soil and scatter the seeds,
You are planting intentions,
Beautiful,
Powerful intentions of what you want to bring into being in your life.
Perhaps you're planting joy or forgiveness.
Perhaps ease or abundance.
Maybe you're planting trust or patience.
As you cover the seeds,
You are filled with reassurance that the beginning of something new has started.
And you could return to this patch of soil at any time.
To continue nurturing this new life,
These new intentions,
Take an inhale as the first breath of this beautiful new journey.
And then exhale any lingering fears or doubts.
On the next inhale,
Allow yourself to emerge anew.
Gently open your eyes as you reacquaint yourself with the space you're in.
Thank you for joining me for this five-minute meditation.
Sending love from my heart to yours.
