
Soothe + Heal
This practice is to soothe the nervous system and to connect you to your own potential to heal mind, body, and soul. It invites you to release tension, create calm, and energetically shift through any stuck or stagnancy within, to leave you with a sense of peace, wellbeing, and rejuvenation.
Transcript
This is a self-healing practice that helps to soothe the nervous system that connects you to your own potential to heal the physical and emotional body and your eternal spirit.
Take a comfortable seated position,
Spine tall but relaxed,
Chin parallel to the floor.
And let your hands rest on your thighs,
Palms face up.
Take a moment to arrive and connect to your breath and allow it to be slow and steady.
We'll start with a technique to release any tension you might hold in the body.
On your next breath,
Take a deep breath in,
Hold the breath and squeeze all the muscles in the body.
Squeeze through the arms and legs,
Feet,
Hands into fists,
Face,
Back,
Belly and then on the exhale release everything.
Notice a sense of relaxation and warmth come over you.
And let's do this two more times.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold the breath,
Contract all the muscles in the body,
Squeeze everything tightly and then let it all go with a full exhale.
Again,
Feel that wave of warmth and healing.
One last time,
Breathe in and hold as though you bring all the tension to the surface on the contraction and then a full breath out,
Relax everything and feel that wave of release.
Let the breath settle and become effortless,
A natural easy breath.
Everything softens.
Now bring your attention to your thumbs.
If it helps,
You might like to move your thumbs around a little bit,
Just enough to give you a sense of awareness of the thumbs.
Then stop and just feel them.
You may notice sensation or that they become warm,
A sense of heat builds,
An intentional healing energy.
All awareness of the thumbs.
Now to your index fingers.
You can move them gently if you like or just use your focus.
Then gradually stop.
Feel the intention of awareness filling the index fingers.
Notice the sensation,
Any heat,
Awareness in the index fingers.
Move your attention to your middle fingers,
A flood of energy and attention to the middle fingers.
As you do this by bringing your full attention to your fingers,
It has a healing effect on the nervous system and helps to calm the mind.
Attention to the ring fingers.
Again you can move them or just use the power of your intention.
Then let them settle.
Notice sensations of warmth,
Heat,
Aliveness,
Healing energy in the ring fingers.
Then lastly the little fingers.
If you need to you can move them,
Let them settle and now feel them.
All your attention on the little fingers.
Have the intention of warmth,
A flood of energy and healing in the little fingers.
Bring the tips of your index finger and thumb to touch.
Move your awareness to the space between your eyebrows.
Allow yourself to go inward to sense space,
Openness and even light within the body.
Notice any subtle shifts take place as you do this.
It is just energy beginning to move.
Now draw your focus to the base of your spine and see,
Sense or feel a three inch tall golden flame.
Have the intention to see or sense this golden flame within the base of the spine.
This flame holds the qualities of illumination,
Wellbeing,
Radiance.
As if you ignite a spark of spirit and vitality.
As the vibrancy builds,
Begin to consciously draw the flame up slowly through the core of the spine.
As it does this,
It melts away any blocks and shifts any imbalances within the spine.
The flame continues to rise and allow the light to move any stagnant energy as it melts away any density.
It moves up behind the space of the heart.
Light melts away any blocks.
It moves up through the upper spine,
The neck and the brain stem until the golden flame reaches and settles into the midbrain.
As you become more absorbed by the flame,
You sense its vibrancy expand to become a golden ball of light.
See or sense this golden ball begin to move from side to side on either side of the head and then gradually move from left to right as it begins to descend slowly down the body.
It moves down the neck and from side to side across the shoulders.
As it does this,
You notice that it leaves a trail of golden light.
This light heals and rejuvenates as it gradually continues to move downwards.
It moves back and forth across the chest.
This light is absorbed by the cells,
The emotional body.
It heals and restores.
Be aware of any spots where it feels a bit stuck or hard to move through that might have some blockage.
These are simply areas you can give a little more focus to as the light slowly travels down.
It moves through the belly and eventually the light fills the pelvis,
The hips and the base of the spine.
It then travels all the way down the legs to the very tips of the toes.
Once you reach the toes,
You can begin to move the golden ball of light gently back up again.
Moving slowly back and forth from side to side up the body.
You may like to feel any spots you missed as you move it back up through the legs and up the torso.
This golden light brings its wave of healing energy through the body as you move all the way back up to the top of the spine and it resettles into the midbrain.
See the whole body filled with this golden light.
The entire body radiant,
Whole with a sense of peace,
Wellbeing and rejuvenation.
The entire body radiant,
Whole with a sense of light.
See the whole body radiant,
Whole with a sense of peace,
Wellbeing and rejuvenation.

Begin to notice the space around the skin,
As if the edges of the skin begins to dissolve and the light moves into the space around you,
Into the etheric body,
About an arm's length in all directions,
In an oval shape surrounding the entire body,
Your entire being and spirit,
Filled with golden luminous light,
As if you melt into infinite presence and infinite light.
Rest here in this space.

You can either remain sitting in this space of your eternal spirit,
Or you might like to choose a word that is sacred to you,
Like peace or calm,
Joy,
Or even the word om.
Use a word that feels right to you.
And as you meditate,
Repeat this word to yourself silently,
As you rest in this golden light of your boundless spirit.

Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Allow it to deepen.

R fully connected to the ground.
Draw your palms together at the heart and briskly rub them together.
Feel the energy you create between your hands and place them over your eyes.
Feel the warmth of your palms begin to awaken your senses.
Keep the eyes closed and bring the palms back together,
Rubbing them gently.
Build the energy.
This time,
Place them over your belly,
Energizing the body,
Bringing it back to life.
Gradually begin to take some gentle movement.
You might like to roll out through the shoulders opening across the heart.
And let the gaze open to a point on the floor.
Fix your attention here for a few moments before fully coming back into the room.
