I'm Richard Willis and welcome to your beach relaxation.
To begin with,
Find a quiet comfortable place where you can relax.
You can do this sitting comfortably or lying down.
Just take a moment to get into a position where you feel supported and comfy.
Before we begin the main relaxation,
We'll do a simple settler to relax the body and the mind.
So allow your eyes to close and take some deep breaths in through the nose and out through the nose.
With each breath,
Really let go as you breathe out.
Imagine breathing out any tension.
Relax.
Deep breaths.
Letting go.
Then let your breathing settle into its own natural rhythm and notice how your body feels.
Become aware of the whole body.
Settling,
Resting.
Allow your muscles to relax.
Relax your brow and facial muscles.
Relax your jaw.
Releasing any tension.
Soften your neck and shoulder muscles.
Relax your arms and hands.
Relax your stomach muscles.
Allowing you to breathe freely and easily.
Relax your legs and feet.
Letting your whole body relax.
Now allow your imagination to drift.
Drift and let a wonderful scene emerge.
Imagine that you're walking along a sandy path on a beautiful sunny day.
You've heard that this path leads to an amazing beach which is just out of sight and on either side of you are tropical trees whose leaves are glimmering in the sunlight.
There is a pleasant cool breeze in the air complimenting the warmth of the Sun on your skin as you casually stroll relaxed along the path.
Look around you.
Notice the different greens of the plants and trees.
The blue of the sky.
Gaze at your surroundings.
The shapes,
Colors,
Textures.
Tune into the sounds around you.
The light rustling of leaves in the breeze.
Gentle sounds of the sea drawing nearer.
Notice the sensations as you walk.
Your arms slowly swinging in rhythm with your strides.
The warmth of the day on your skin.
You emerge from the trees now and the path opens out onto a stunning clear beach of white sand just for you.
Beyond is a blue-green sea sparkling as it basks in the sunlight.
Stop and admire the beautiful scene stretched out before you.
Hear the calming rhythm of the waves on the shore as you step onto the beach going barefoot.
Feel the soft fine sand powder-like under your toes.
Enjoy the warmth of the sand on your feet as you slowly walk towards the sea.
As you approach the waves caressing the shore,
You feel the texture of the sand change and notice your footprints lingering in the wet sand.
Then,
One wave greets your toes with a pleasant cool touch before moving back.
Enjoy the feeling of the waves massaging your feet as they wash up and then back down.
Walk now along the shore enjoying the coolness of the sea on your feet and legs.
Providing relief from the heat of the sun.
Looking down through the clear water to the details of the sand underneath.
Observing with childlike wonder as the waters constantly shift before you.
Looking up to gaze out to the distant horizon.
Admiring the richness of color of the sea and sky and listening to the sound of the waves and occasional voices of seabirds.
So beautiful,
So calm,
So relaxed.
Enjoy your stroll along the shore feeling the soothing sea breeze against the skin completely in the moment.
Noticing the sights around you,
The sounds and up ahead you see a large soft towel on the beach that's been left just for you.
The perfect spot to stop and relax as you reach it.
Lie back and rest.
Feel the soft thick towel beneath you cushioning you.
Feel the warmth of the sun as you look up at the deep blue of the sky.
Enjoy discovering the white shapes of the clouds drifting lazily along,
Drifting.
Listen to the happy rhythm of the waves washing up and then back down,
Up and down.
You can smell the salt on the sea air carried to you on each cool gentle breeze.
Admire the sights,
The sounds,
The feelings of the moment.
Take some time now to enjoy,
Relax,
Rest,
Calm,
At peace.
Now in a moment it'll be time to return from your beach relaxation.
So now use the power of your imagination to transport you back in whatever way feels appropriate for you.
Back to where your body is sitting or lying down.
Get a sense of the body,
The feeling of contact with whatever you're sitting or lying on.
Just start to move the body a bit,
Moving the fingers and toes and open your eyes,
Open your eyes,
Bringing yourself fully back into your surroundings.
Take a nice stretch and well done.
Bring in that great feeling of peace and relaxation with you.
