Hello,

I am Richard Willis and welcome to your guided sleep meditation journey to the stars.

This meditation will help you to let go of your thoughts and worries.

You can leave them behind as you blissfully drift through the universe.

You do not need to do anything active in this meditation,

Just simply allow my voice to go with you as your mind drifts along naturally into a calm,

Peaceful state.

To begin with,

Become aware of the body and settle it into a comfortable lying down position,

Feel the sensation of softness beneath the body,

The pleasant weight of the body,

Under gravity,

Almost melting into the soft surface underneath,

Settling,

Resting,

Relaxing,

Gently place attention on the head,

Letting go of all tension in the forehead and jaw,

Releasing and relaxing,

Relax the neck and shoulders,

Relax the back,

Soften the stomach,

Allow your arms and hands to completely rest,

And let your legs and feet really relax,

The entire body completely,

Deeply relaxed,

With each breath becoming more and more relaxed.

Place your awareness on the breath,

With each in-breath,

Bringing in more calm,

With each out-breath,

Letting go even further,

Letting each wave of the breath soothe you,

Relax you,

And if at any point you notice the mind has wandered,

That's fine,

That's very natural,

Just simply and gently guide your attention back to my voice,

With kindness and patience,

Back to the present moment,

Continuing to immerse yourself in the journey,

Let your awareness now shift to your mind's eye,

The space within,

As you feel the body becoming lighter and lighter,

Beginning to slowly float upwards,

With excitement and anticipation,

Lighter than the air around you,

Feel yourself magically transported upwards into the sky,

Floating,

Seeing the details of buildings below,

Fields,

Woods,

Rivers,

Becoming smaller as you drift through the clouds,

Emerging into a velvety dark sky above,

Now on the edge of space,

With diamond-like stars sparkling above you,

You're in complete control of where you float,

Where you fly,

Safe and comfortable,

Free,

Relaxed,

Floating further now,

Watching the globe of the earth slowly rotate,

Watching the contours of the continents gently spin by,

Below mesmerizing swirls of white cloud,

All on a beautiful blue-green marble,

Full of life,

Now though,

You can explore,

Let your mind take you through space,

To the moon,

With its craters of different sizes,

Lines etched across the ground,

Fly down and step on the dusty surface,

Pick up a moon rock,

Glide up and view all around the moon,

The moon,

Its one side bright with reflected light from the sun,

Illuminating every detail,

And casting intricate shadows,

And the opposite side dark,

Observe it from all places you wish,

Observe it all from whatever place you wish,

Enjoying the sense of curiosity and calm,

Fly now,

Over to your home star,

The sun,

You can bend the laws of time and space,

To quickly go wherever you wish,

As you approach,

Passing the rocky and scorched mercury,

The scale of the great orange-yellow star,

Becomes apparent,

See the surface of the star,

Swirling storms of plasma,

Bright light bursting at random points,

With great arcs of fiery material,

Reaching out into space,

Gaze at the enormous size of the star,

See its surface dancing with activity and motion,

Enchanting and calming to watch,

Now fly to the outer edge of the solar system,

As you easily surf through space,

Space,

The sense of infinite space all around you,

Below,

Above,

No up or down,

Just space,

And knowing exactly where you want to go,

Fly by mars,

Mars,

With its rusty red desert surface,

On you fly,

Through the rocks of the asteroid belt,

In awe of the size of some of these sleeping giants,

Then pass the enormity of Jupiter,

Admiring the gaseous white and brown strips,

Gently swirling around the planet,

And its great red spot,

Wider than the entire earth,

Still spinning,

Onward still,

Through the crisp blackness,

Still with a sixth sense of where everything is,

Then you see in the distance,

Saturn,

As you gaze at Saturn's gassy brown-yellow stripy globe,

With its elegant rings,

Wrapping around its body,

As you get closer,

You see the beautiful detail,

The rings made up of countless lumps of ice,

Mixed with some rock and fine dust,

As light catches those ice particles,

You see them glisten,

Dive through the rings,

Feel the scale of these amazing structures,

Relax into the sense of wonder,

Wonder,

Now though,

You fly,

Out of your home's star system,

Through the icy objects of the Oort cloud,

Barely held together by the sun's gravity,

The shell around the solar system,

Then you glide into interstellar space,

Searching for other stars,

You're easily,

Almost lazily,

Moving through vast distances quickly now,

You see a small red star,

A long-lived dwarf star,

An ancient in the universe,

With its own system of planets,

Rocky planets of interesting colours,

Gas giants that look both familiar yet different,

Allow curiosity to take you as you float around this system,

Looking,

Studying its beauty,

Its colours,

Its arrangement,

The shapes of the features on the planets,

Maybe even looking for life,

Maybe finding it,

In one direction now,

You see a hazy glow,

Many light years away,

Yet so easy to reach,

Almost instantly,

Interest takes you again,

As you fly confidently through the vast playground of the cosmos,

Your body full of happy,

Relaxed energy,

Like a positive healing energy,

And calm,

The haze already becoming larger now,

You can see a stunning pink and purple nebula,

A stellar nursery,

Cloud of gas and dust,

Of such beauty,

Glimmering with young stars,

Recently born,

Light all around you,

Illuminating this region of the galaxy,

Twinkling with both starlight,

And the light reflecting off the gas of the nebula,

A beautiful violet light,

Bask in this wonderful cosmic terrain,

Float and bathe in the natural beauty,

Majestic,

Calm,

Relaxed,

Peaceful,

You can now enjoy the galaxy further if you would like,

At any time you can return back to where you began this journey,

To enjoy a deep,

Healing sleep,

Or you can continue to explore other stars,

Until you drift into a soothing,

Relaxing sleep,

There are blue giant stars to discover,

Huge powerhouses in the galaxy,

There are binary systems,

With two stars caught in each other's gravitational embrace,

The galaxy is yours to search and fly through,

In all its beauty,

In all its wonder,

Enjoy flying,

Gliding,

Drifting,

Drifting,

Drifting,

Drifting.
