Hello,

I'm Richard Willis and welcome to a meditation on goal setting.

This combines key elements used by a life coach into an immersive goal setting meditation so you can set powerful goals that are much more likely to succeed.

To begin with,

Make yourself comfy,

Sitting or lying down somewhere comfortable and just begin with a nice deep breath to settle the mind.

Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Take a few silent moments for two or more nice deep breaths.

Now,

Let the body really relax and just gently let the eyes close if they haven't already and I invite you to place your awareness on what you want,

A life goal you want to achieve.

You may have a clear idea already or you may get a flood of ideas come to mind.

If so,

Focus on the most important life goal to achieve.

With this goal now in the lens of your awareness,

Put the goal into words,

One sentence.

For now,

You can just begin by completing the sentence,

I want.

Listen to the words that arise and check they're positive words.

If they're negative,

Such as,

I want to not be nervous when giving a speech,

Change it to a positive,

Such as,

I want to be relaxed when giving a speech.

The unconscious mind doesn't hear negatives and you want to get your unconscious mind unified with the conscious mind to make this goal setting powerful.

So take a few moments now to get the words feeling right for you.

Now,

Pick a point in the future when you'd like to achieve your life goal by.

Make it realistic,

Even fix a date in mind,

Then using the power of your imagination,

Time travel,

Travel into the future until you get to that date.

When you're there,

At the point you've achieved your life goal fully,

Notice what is happening for you.

Where are you?

What do you notice that tells you you've fully achieved your goal?

What are you seeing?

Allow that image to become really clear,

Colourful and rich.

Notice movement in the scene to bring it fully alive.

Step into your future self and experience it as though it were happening right now,

Living it.

Notice what you're hearing too,

The sounds of success.

What are people saying to you?

What are you saying to yourself after achieving your goal?

How do you feel?

What does success feel like?

Notice any pleasant feelings in the body,

Enjoy them.

Now,

Take the wording of your goal from earlier and change the words to present tense,

Beginning with words like I am or I have.

An example goal might be I am relaxed when giving a speech.

Take some moments now to word your goal in the present tense.

Repeat that goal to yourself now,

Like a mantra,

Still experiencing the enjoyment of the moment after having achieved your goal.

The sights,

The positive feelings,

Hear those words clearly,

Speak them with power.

Now,

Use your imagination to travel gently back to the present,

Bringing with you your powerful words.

And slowly open your eyes,

Ready to use your goal setting from this life coach meditation immediately.

As soon as I finish talking,

You can write down your present tense goal.

You can put those powerful words somewhere you can regularly see them,

Ready to connect with that wonderful point in the future when you have achieved it fully.

You can say those words every morning after waking,

Every evening before sleep.

Fill yourself up with your goal to drive you to action.

Onwards.
